On May 31, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced that about 20 new military units would be created in the Russian Western Military District to “adequately confront NATO”. The decision was made in response to the actions by the so-called collective West.
At the same time, the Russian troops are continuously supplied with modern weapons and military equipment. According to the Russian Defense Minister, 2 thousand peaces of equipment to be supplied to Russian troops this year.
Shoigu stressed that the military threat continues to grow in the Russian western strategic direction. For example, over the past seven years, the intensity of flights of the US Air Force’s strategic bomber aircraft in Europe has grown 14 times. The number of military exercises near the Russian borders has increased. As previously stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, only in Ukraine it is planned to hold seven joint military exercises with the NATO forces in 2021. Also, warships of NATO countries equipped with cruise missiles are entering the Black Sea with increasing frequency.
“The actions of our Western colleagues destroy the global security system and force us to take adequate countermeasures. We are constantly strengthening our troops. By the end of the year, about 20 formations and military units will be formed in the Western Military District, ” Shoigu said at a meeting of the Defense Ministry collegium.
Russian officials emphasize that the modernization of the Russian army has exclusively defensive goals. The creation of new formations is also defensive in nature.
Given NATO countries’ accusations against Moscow moving its military forces through the country’s territory amid the recent escalation in Eastern Ukraine, it is expected that the new measures of the Russian military command will not go unnoticed in the West. At least, they may soon become another pretext for new accusations, which will strengthen the image of Russia as a terrible aggressor for European countries and global security system.
Well they can start by not calling those Nato morons colleagues.

US warship FAILS to intercept mid-range ballistic missile target
The US Missile Defense Agency said that an Aegis ship fired two SM-6 interceptors, but failed to hit a medium range ballistic target.
“The objective of the test was to demonstrate the capability of a ballistic missile defense (BMD)-configured Aegis ship to detect, track, engage and intercept a medium range ballistic missile target,” the US Missile Defense Agency said in a brief statement.
However, an intercept was not achieved.
US officials are now conducting an “extensive review to determine the cause of any problems which may have prevented a successful intercept and will thoroughly analyze the results.”
The goal of the test was to intercept a target with a salvo of two SM-6 Dual II missiles. The agency said the test, dubbed the Flight Test Aegis Weapon System 31 Event 1, was conducted on May 29 in cooperation with the US Navy.
The Pentagon did not specify which Aegis warship was involved or the exact area where the test took place, but according to local Maui Now news, citing MDA officials, the Saturday test occurred somewhere northwest of Hawaii.
I read that too … when the US military is the one voluntarily issuing press releases about their failures you have to wonder what’s really going on. Raytheon’s stock price barely budged since the press release so it’s likely not that but something don’t smell right.
It night be the usual “threat hustling” used by the MIC as they belly up to the the annual funding trough.

Or what is observed is the true rot beginning to set in. “An intercept was not achieved.” Because they simply can’t… anymore.
When the US were doing the missile test, wasn’t there a certain ship, from a certain nation, that just happened to be anchored up in international waters? Remember reading about it a couple of weeks ago and laughing, when they mentioned the US were due to be carrying out missile testing. I so love those Russian jammers, especially if they arrive in a whicker basket.

Seems like a prudent move. NATO is a tool of aggression.
It is long past time to drop the “our Western partners” talk. Call them what they are, enemies and existential threats.
Little by little we are building up our forces and Allies along the Russian borders.
It worked well in 1941 and it will work today too. Nobody in Europe are taking any notice, only the Russians are howling…………………………………………………LOL.
Surprise surprise surprise, suddenly 1 million forces are rolling in over the Russian borders and everybody woke up and wont believe it is true what they hear. America is marching against Moscow.
America did it. America did what nobody have been able to do in the entire history! We won. America conquered the world!
So how did it work well, back in 1941? Weren’t the US supporting Adolf at the time? Then Pearl Harbour (was that a false flag) happened. US declares war on Japan, which is an ally of Germany and Germany declares war on the US.
In the meantime, the build up, that you are talking of, well how did that go? Remember one of the battles, and believe it was Stalingrad, when old Adolf thought he could happily march into Moscow. Well what happened next? Who was walking back to Berlin, with most of his Forces lying in the compost? When did the US decide to change sides and enter the war, before they credited themselves, courtesy of Hollywood, as being the saviours of WWII? Remind me, how many did Russia lose? How many did the Soviet Union lose? Then combine the losses of both America and the UK, who lost less than a million, between themselves.
So if you compare events in 1941 and it all worked out, with events of today. Guess, Russia is going to have a lot of fun, embarrassing those very same, ungrateful nations.
Napoleon tried, Hitler tried and how many others have tried and what became of them all? How old is Russia? How old is the US? Keep dreaming Tommy.
Just small groups of assassins sent to Western countries wiping out their elite classes and political leaders will be a lot more effective.
