Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said Monday that Turkey has not taken any steps that might help start the normalization of relations with Russia.
“Our relations at the moment are there where they are. Although the Turkish side has been trying to make all sorts of informal approaches, the key factor is still absent, and without it our country cannot embark on the road of normalizing relations.” Ushakov said at a news briefing.
Ushakov emphasized that the question of possible normaziation between Russia and Turkey remains suspended.
We remember, Turkish daily Turkiye reported on Monday that Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cuvasoglu had roposed to create a joint working group with Russia to find ways of normalizing bilateral relations.
