The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) had delivered another batch of Su-34 fighter bombers to the Russian Aerospace Forces, Rostec announced on June 17. .
“The United Aircraft Corporation has supplied a regular batch of Su-34 fighter bombers to the Defense Ministry in the framework of the arms procurement order. The jets were delivered to the troops after factory trials,” it said.
Su-34s are manufactured at the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association Plant in the region of Novosibirsk, which is owned by UAC.
Rostec First Deputy CEO Vladimir Artyakov said that the bombers are intensively used in the special military operation in Ukraine.
“The capabilities of the aircraft allow the pilots to fulfill missions in any theater of warfare with the use of guided and unguided weapons,” he added.
Meanwhile, Yury Slyusar, the CEO of UAC, revealed that the state-owned corporation is increasing the production of combat aircraft.
“We update the technological and business processes and find additional reserves to increase the output,” he said, adding that new personnel were hired.
Based on the Su-27 air superiority fighter, the Su-34 was designed primarily for tactical deployment against ground and naval targets on solo and group missions in daytime and at night, under favorable and adverse weather conditions and in a hostile environment with air defense and electronic warfare deployed as well as for aerial reconnaissance.
The fighter bomber has a maximum speed of Mach 1.8 at altitude and a combat radius of 1,100 kilometers with a standard 12,000 kg weapons load.
The Su-34 can deploy a wide range of precision-guided munitions, including glide bombs, land-attack cruise missiles, anti-radar missiles and anti-ship missiles. It can also be armed with short-range and beyond visual range air-to-air missiles for self-defense.
This was the second batch of Su-34 the UAC has delivered to the VKS since the start of the year. The first batch was handed over was last April.
The VKS currently operates more than 150 Su-34s. The frontline bomber is planned to eventually replace the Su-24 tactical strike fighter and the Tu-22M long-distance bomber in the long term.

🇷🇺🛩=🤡 😆😆😆
so what? our american f16 will totally own them!
🗽=😂😂😂🎪
drones will own them and the f16 in the future. its just the question if the us or china will have them faster in great numbers. if the us manages build drone swarms in a hugh enough scale they can defeat china and russia. if china who has allready the numbers advantage gets this tech first or at the the same time with the us its game over for the west.
lol yank drones would cost way to much, china can make vastly more cheap one use drones. the us is dead in the water, they can’t even make enough amo for ukraine. all they have is inflated egos, in fact it all they ever had.
