Late on October 24, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) renewed strikes on the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib, which is occupied by al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and several other terrorist groups.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a London-based pro-opposition monitoring group, said that the strikes hit the towns of Kansafra, Ain La Rose and Deir Sunbul in the southern Idlib countryside, as well as the town of Sirmaniyah in the northwestern countryside of Hamas.
There were no reports of casualties. However, it is important to note that HTS and its allies nearly never acknowledged their losses.
This was not the first wave of Russian strikes to hit Geater Idlib this month. Between October 14 and 17, the VKS carried out dozens of strikes against the region, targeting key sites of HTS and its allies, including training camps, ammunition depots and drone workshops.
Russia resumed strikes on Greater Idlib following reports of a plan by HTS and its allies to launch a large-scale attack against the Syrian military in order to take advantage of the distraction caused by the ongoing Israeli war on both the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
In addition, Russian intelligence warned recently that the secret services of the Kiev regime were active in the region, providing arms to HTS and recruiting terrorists to fight in Ukraine.

be careful, russia, don’t get shot down by your newest brics ally – turkey. they also kinda like to kill pilots on parachutes. israel can shoot down your planes too, and they can blame someone else, it won’t be the first time they’ve done that. as for putin, he won’t investigate too much, because he is an asset of israel and the lives of russian soldiers are ridiculously cheap. they’re actually free
russia and erdogan swatting flies from a british think tank. the su-24 was avenged latter in a subtle fashion.
erdogan killed 2 saa members and 4 syrian civilians in an airstrike in northern syria. putin somehow “forgot” to report on this. it’s actually bad news for syria that russia and turkey are now such good friends in the brics. this means that if turkey kills any of assad’s soldiers or civilians, syria must not complain, or else it will get a slap in the face from erdogan and a second time from putin.
the usa/uk empire has war gamed ww-3 in syria for many years. syria would not exist except for putin. russia’s mid-east policy is complicated but on the surface they seem to be avoiding war and buying time for the empire of lies to fail on it’s own accord. turkey makes a better friend than enemy for russia
