On March 5, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) resumed its combat operations against ISIS cells in Syria’s central region.

According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Russian warplanes carried out more than 60 airstrikes on hideouts of ISIS in the eastern Hama countryside and other parts of the Hama-Aleppo-Raqqa triangle as well as in eastern Homs.

“The strikes killed 11 members of the group [ISIS], while many other were sustained varying injures,” the monitoring group said in a report.

The Russian airstrikes were likely provoked by two recent terrorist attacks on Syrian government forces in the eastern countryside of Hama.

A day earlier, ISIS terrorists raided a post of the Syrian Arab Army near the town of al-Salamiyah in eastern Hama. The terrorists also destroyed an army pickup with an improvised explosive device.

ISIS cells launch attacks from their main stronghold in central Syria, the Homs desert. Hundreds of the group’s fighters and commanders are reportedly taking shelter there.

The recent operations by Syrian government forces and the VKS in the central region inflicted heavy losses on ISIS and forced the group’s cells to step down their attacks. Nevertheless, more actions need to be done to contain this threat.

Good news. Finish them off please!

Samuel Vanguard

get them good

johnny rotten

Correction, the main stronghold of the isis is Al Tanf, occupied by the Yankees.

Cromwell

Indeed,,a couple of Tochka missiles will end that in a heart beat.

Jens Holm

You have big pockets

Jens Holm

ISIS are not there. USA blocked that transportation vbecause of them(+tollahs and assads).

Muich as You have been there Yourself:) Are Ypu ISIS or USA ?? :)

Porc Halal

This is correct and I believe that all efforts to remove jihadist garbage from the desert are in vain, as long as al-tanf provides more and more batches of newly trained “freedom fighters” who miraculously turn islamic state terrorists

Garga

Russia also started supplying Syria with oil, fuel and food. The first shipments are delivered. Their move will prevent Syria from falling into famine next year because of grain stealing by American thieves and their SDF dogs

Report it please.

Jesus

Russia is the no 1 exporter of wheat in the world, supplying Syria with grains and oil would be effortless.

Jens Holm

Syria will pay with ISIS members to regain Gulag. Most of them will be be fishers up north in the dark.

Jens Holm

Thats has been going on for years….

JIMI JAMES

Good stuff, have some in the side of my head infact, magnets can’t stick on it!

Cheryl Brandon

THANK GOD FOR RUSSIA

Jesus

Air attacks on these ISIS hideouts are effective, however, there should be coordinated with ground attacks for maximum effectiveness.

Cromwell

Correct.

Jens Holm

Go there Yourself. Remember own tombstone.

Jesus

Sweida, Palmyra and Deir Ezzor axis supported by helicopter forces from T4 and Deir Ezzor bases would limit Al Tanf activity and ISIS infiltrations from Jordan.

Jens Holm

We all know that. It also would help there would be comptenet people with the correct equipment.

Maybee Assads only send forced recruits to there and because they cant run away. It very much seemes Assads has lack of troops.

Assad must stay

Blow them to smithereens!!!!!

Jens Holm

Not many will blame them. Many would even like Russians if they only stayd in their own country:)

Cheryl Brandon

GOO BLESS THESE VERY DETERMINDED RUSSIAN FIGHTER PILOTS WHO DO NOT MISS A THING.A lot of syrians hive them info on the terrorists positions, to elimminate them.

Andreas

Another airstrike and a handful of globalist terrorists dead. So what? If we replace the word “Russian” here with “American”, then we’d be laughing at them for repeating the same failed tactics while expecting successful long-term results.

Next week will be another Russian airstrike and several more globalist terrorists dead, but not after more conscripted SAA picked off by these cowardly scum.

It is difficult to understand the Russian strategy. There is no clear end-game. By appearance, they are content with stringing along Assad with just enough support to keep him alive and dependent, but not enough to decisively change the situation in Syria’s favor.

Perhaps Putin thinks time favors Axis-of-Resistance. Maybe it does. Iran gains strength by the day and has the moral wind at her back. China soon to be world’s #1 economic power. America steadily disintegrating intellectually, socially, morally, economically, militarily. Perhaps Putin is right to expect Israel to welcome Russia’s extended hand.

FlorianGeyer

Goodbye zio troll.

Andreas

Mein Gott!

Explain how what I have said translates into ankle-biting on behalf of the Zio-Totalitarians.

Or have you drunk the kool-aid offered to you by same manipulative culprits that some facts are more equal than others?

Or perhaps Russia in your head has become elevated to a status beyond reproach or criticism?

Please do explain.

Peter Jennings

The terrorists are giving away their position by venturing from their ratholes to attack the SAA. All it would take is a drone to latch on to the group and follow the trail of crumbs back to the nest.

Next day Karma calls.
