must come as a surprise for all the people reading pentagon rubbish.

they release practically one article per week on their outlets, describing how “the su-57 is dead because india withdrew its financial participation in it”, or because “its engines are not ready and will not be because of sanctions” and so on.

Seriously? one “SERIAL” aircraft per year? https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/d2f8b62d4a26a191abd061113784ecf135240848266f07cfcf8aae82673e5f9c.jpg

The article dont mention an amount per year, just that the first will arive in 2019, or did you reply to something whitehot said?

Ive banned him awhile back so i cant see what he wrote, most likely nothing worth reading…

occupybacon

Since the article doesn’t say a number with two digits like at least a dozen, it can’t be called “serial” or wait, everything is possible since you “banned” the little troll. He is saying that it must be a surprise for the Pentagon trolls that say su-57 is dead.

John Whitehot

the article says enough not to interpret the text like a lowly pharisaic scumbag.

“Edit: the article says it will get a total of 15 “At this stage” but I don’t know if this stage is this year, if they already have 12 planes and will call the next 3 serial or whatever”

which doesn’t wipe the humiliation you brought on yourself with the previous comment, neither replies my original comment, so in the end, why did you comment at all – “say something Dwayne. Say anything goddamnit!”.

occupybacon

Ok smarty pants, you won, why is this aircraft superior to f-35 or even f-22?

Rob

Compare specifications of SU-57 with F-35 and F-22. A 10 year child can tell the difference.

occupybacon

One is less visible on radars and can land vertical and the other is better at dog fight – this last part helps avoiding AA missiles? I don’t know. But does it have features that drastically surpass the previous generation of airplanes in order to worth replacing them? I repeat F-35 is ordered by over 10 other countries, SU-57 not even by India.

Rob

SU-57 multirole fighter jet is not on display for sale. The S-300, S-400 and S-500 airspace defence systems vanish the importance of fighter jets. Russia aims to produce at least 200 units of SU-57 for which Russia does not need to rush. You know, most countries are investing on S-300 and S-400 rather than fighter jets, due to which the sale of fighter jets reduce, even Trump struggled to sell F-35 to Saudis but no success.

occupybacon

Why the SU-57 is not for sale if S-300, S-400 and S-500 vanish the importance of fighter jets anyway?

Rob

I have mentioned nations are interested in S-400 aerospace defense systems.

occupybacon

You mean they are not interested in the ‘Stealth F-35/F-22 Killer”?

vladput

beacuse S is over F :)))

Brian Michael Bo Pedersen

Banned/blocked, autocorrection on tablet.

Neither do i know, only time will tell. I believe ive read that two Su-57 where “combat trialled” in Syrian last spring/summer. But they could just be preproduction testbeds and not in the calculation.

occupybacon

F-35 received orders of over 3500 planes, 1000 of this from other countries than US, I call this “serial production”. Ordering 15 of this Su-57 is not at all a “serial”, they are still on tests.

Brian Michael Bo Pedersen

So at what amount does is go from just tests to serial? F-35 have also not completed tests. And its should be clear that VVS would require and order more than 15 Su-57, they are just waiting until the tests have advanced far enough.

I would almost bet that those 15 planes are going out to the different training centers, and after that into active service. Many Soviet/Russian planes/helicopters, did get transferred to active service after serving the “startup teams” in the training centers.

vladput

it is dead. russia plans 2 dozens instead of 10 dozens. shit plane.

jako

In the meantime F-16 will be called “F-21” and become “5th generation aircraft” (if and when) produced by India because US is saying so……(of course that is only F-16+ few extras) It just make’s me LAUGH th fact that they avoid not to call that jet “F-34” instead, knowing how huge pile of CRAP is F-35 and that would be NEGATIVE publicity for upgraded F-16 offer to India.
