Ukraine used an E-300 Enterprise drone carrying a FAB-250 bomb in its latest attack on Moscow, but Russian air defenses shot it down before it reached its target.
Footage of the E-300 wreckage, with the bomb mounted beneath its fuselage, surfaced online on September 21. The location of the shootdown and the intended target were not independently confirmed.

The incident came amid a large Ukrainian drone offensive that began September 19. Russia’s Defense Ministry said it destroyed 1,110 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory and the Black Sea overnight into September 20.
Meanwhile, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said more than 1,600 drones had been intercepted across Russia since September 19, including about 450 approaching the Russian capital.
The E-300 Enterprise was developed by AeroDrone from the Aeros SkyRanger light aircraft. Originally designed for cargo missions, the piston-powered aircraft has been modified to carry bombs. Ukrainian E-300s have previously been documented carrying FAB-250 bombs, including during a February 2025 attack in Russia’s Bryansk region.
The aircraft has become a target for Russian counter-drone units. Russia’s Rubicon center said on September 16 that its forces had destroyed 16 E-300s and released footage purporting to show interceptor drones attacking the aircraft behind the front line.
Ukraine has also converted other light aircraft, including the SkyRanger and A-22 Foxbat, for long-range bombing missions.
The E-300 can carry a significantly heavier bomb than the warheads found on smaller one-way drones used in Ukraine’s long-range attacks. Its size and relatively low speed, however, make it more vulnerable once detected.
