Russian air defenses repelled overnight a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack that targeted seven different regions in Russia.
In a statement, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that 21 drones were intercepted late on July 26 over the region of Bryansk.
Early on July 27, the ministry announced in another statement that 14 more drones were shot down, seven of which over the Kursk region, three over the Belgorod region, two over the Rostov region, one over Bryansk and one over the region of Lipetsk.
The ministry said in two separate statements released later in the morning that eight drones were intercepted over the region of Ryazan in addition to two others over Belgorod and the Saratov region.
Despite the scale of the Ukrainian drone attack, no casualties or material losses were reported in any of the targeted Russian regions.
The Kiev regime intensified drone and missile attacks on Russia in recent months, damaging infrastructure and killing or wounding dozens of civilians. These attacks appear to be a desperate attempt to make for the recent defeats of Kiev forces.
In response, the Russian military resumed group strikes on military infrastructure and related energy facilities in Ukraine. It also stepped up offensive operations in the directions of Donetsk, Kharkiv and several others, capturing more territory from Kiev forces.
