The Russian Air Force has recently turned their attention to the east Homs front, where the Syrian Arab Army’s 67th Brigade of the 18th Tank Division – alongside the Tiger Forces and Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra (Desert Hawks) – are attempting to advance to the strategic city of Palmyra (Tadmur), which is currently under the control of the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS).
On Sunday morning, the Russian Air Force pounded ISIS’ positions near this ancient desert city, destroying several enemy vehicles and forcing the terrorist group to avoid their oil transport route to the Al-Raqqa Governorate.
