The Russian Aerospace Forces continue to hammer militants’ positions in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib.
Late on September 2, Russian warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on militants’ positions in the outskirts of the town of Kabani in the northern Lattakia countryside. The town is an infamous stronghold of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the de-facto ruler of Greater Idlib, and several other terrorist groups.
On September 3, a new wave of Russian airstrikes destroyed a rocket launch site of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army, a close ally of HTS, near the town of Kansafra in the southern countryside of Idlib.
Russian warplanes have been bombing militants’ positions in Greater Idlib for the last two weeks. The airstrikes appear to be a respond to the repeated attacks by HTS and its allies. The militants violate the ceasefire agreement in the region, which was brokered by Russia and Turkey on 5 March 2020, on a daily basis.
Earlier this week, a six-year-old girl was killed and seven other civilians were wounded when HTS and its allies shelled a number of government-held towns and villages in the northwestern countryside of Hama and the southern Idlib countryside.
The situation in Greater Idlib is far from being stable. Nevertheless, the chances of a military confrontation breaking out in the region remains slim.
As long as the Russians and the Syrian militarry dont bomb the bases of the yankees, the turkys, the zionists, the nato terrorists, there will noting change in the field. The war will go on for 20-30 years. No warning, no mercy. Simultanios all the bases a rain off balistic missils. Then carpedbombing, then helicopter gunships, then tanks and infantry. Shoot everyting that moves. 24 hours later it is over. And then you give them a warning in the UN that you will flatten all there big cyttis if they will restart to attac your country. Is there noboddy whit balss and the Russian and Syrian army???
That’s how it will be done. And it will be done that way.
While these airstrikes have my unconditional support for them, it’s not going anywhere. You have to take tangible actions against these animals. When you kill 10 of them, 100 more of them are imported by Turkey via the Bab al-Hawa border crossing. You can’t end them all with just airstrikes. (well, you can, but it would take 13232178627 years with this pace.)
