At least 23 ISIS terrorists were killed and 31 others were wounded in Syria’s central region in June as a result of Russian airstrikes, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on June 30.
According to the London-based monitoring group, Russian warplanes carried out more than 1,350 airstrikes on the terrorist group’s cells in the region during June.
“Most of them [ISIS terrorists] were killed in the deserts of Raqqa, Deir Ezzor, Homs and to a less extant in the Hama-Aleppo-Raqqa triangle,” the group’s report reads.
The Russian Aerospace Forces have been supporting the ongoing operations against ISIS cells in central Syria for well-over a year now. The Syrian Arab Army has been leading the operations from the ground.
Most of ISIS cells in central Syria have been taking shelter in the Homs desert, which lays between eastern Homs and western Deir Ezzor. The terrorists reportedly receive supplies from US-backed fighters based in the southeastern area of al-Tanf.
Despite sustaining heavy losses, ISIS cells are still launching attacks. Most of the terrorists’ recent attacks took place in eastern Homs and eastern Hama. The battle against the terrorist group will not likely end anytime soon.
Excellent news. The Russians continue to do the entire planet a service by eliminating ignorant, extremist trash supported by the americans, british, zionist squatters & saudi clowns.
