On July 10, warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Air Force resumed airstrikes on infrastructure and weapon depots belonging to radical militant groups in the Idlib de-escalation zone.

A new round of strikes, which according to pro-militant sources mostly focused on the surroundings of Jisr Al-Shughour, hit facilities belonging to the al-Qaeda-affilated coalition of groups, Wa-Harid Al-Mu’minin and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda). Some positions of another al-Qaeda-like organization, the Turkistan Islamic Party.

On July 9, Wa-Harid Al-Mu’minin and its allies attacked positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the village of Atterah and near it briefly capturing them. Nonetheless, by the end of the day, the SAA and the National Defense Forces regrouped and reversed the militants’ gains killing and injuring around two dozens of enemy fighters.
