Russian Army Advances In Vovchansk, Milove And Kupyansk In Kharkiv (Videos)

On November 1, the Russian military advanced in three areas in the Khrakiv direction, including near the key city of Kupyansk.

In Vovchansk, the Sever [North] Group of Forces has been advancing at a steady pace. Russian troops secured the entire southwestern part of the large settlement, and managed to cut the roading to Bilyi Kolodyaz after reaching the southern entrance.

Kiev forces are now only present in the southeastern part of Vovchansk. The blockade of Bilyi Kolodyaz road will complicate their logistics. However, bringing in supplies is still possible through other roads, mainly the one stretching east to Vovchanski Khutory.

Once Vovchansk is fully captured, the Sever Group of Forces will likely advance southwards, along the Siverskyi Donets River.

Moving to the southeast in Kharkiv, the Sever Group of Forces has reportedly advanced some 1,5 kilometers to the west of Milove, capturing the entire area to the north of Ambarnoe. An attack on the settlement, which is small but well-fortified, could begin soon.

Meanwhile, the Zapad [West] Group of Forces continues to expand its control in Kupyansk amid a collapse in Ukrainian defenses.

Russian troops have reportedly captured the canning factory in the eastern part of Kupyansk. The troops also secured the outer area to the west of the railway on the left side of the Oskil River to the northeast of the city. Additional gains were reported to the east of the city, right to the north of Petropavlivka, and close to Kurilovka.

According to Russian military correspondent Yuri Kotenok, Kiev forces are facing severe logistical difficulties on the left bank of the Oskil, struggling to deliver supplies.

All in all, Kiev forces are failing across the front in Kharkiv. The failure is especially clear in Kupyansk, where Ukrainian defenses appear to be slowly collapsing.

Much of the city is already under the control of the Russian military. The capture of the city will almost certainly lead to the complete collapse of all Ukrainian defenses to the east, southeast and south on left bank of the Oskil. Instead of withdrawing its troops and reorganizing its defenses on the right bank, Kiev, as usual, has opted to fight a lost battle.
