Russian Army Advances Near Mala Tokmachka, Captures Pavlovka And Ivanovka (Videos)

On October 22, the Russian military advanced near Mala Tokmachka, where it launched a surprise attack a day earlier, and captured two settlements further to the west in the directions of Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk.

The Vostok [East] Group of Forces is currently controlling the southern part of Mala Tokmachka and fighting to take over the center of the settlement.

While Kiev forces have been putting fierce resistance within Mala Tokmachka, their defenses nearby are collapsing. Russian troops have advanced to the north of Robotyne, reaching the southern outskirts of Novodanylivka. This could soon allow the troops to attack the center of Mala Tokmachka from the west.

Moving to the west in Zaporozhye, the Vostok Group of Forces captured Pavlovka along the Yanchur River, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. Around five square kilometers of territories were secured, including the settlement and its surroundings.

Russian troops are currently fighting inside Uspenivka right next to Pavlovka, as well as in Novonikolaevka, to the south of the settlement along the Yanchur.

Further to the north along the river, the troops are reported to be advancing within Zlahoda, and approaching Vyshneve from Pryvillya and Verbove in Dnepropetrovsk.

It’s worth noting that Ukrainian defenses along the river began to collapse earlier this month after the Vostok Group of Forces managed to capture Poltavka in a swift attack.

The emerging breakthrough in Mala Tokmachka and the advance along the Yanchur could eventually enable the Vostok Group of Forces to attack Huliapole, a stronghold of Kiev forces located right in the middle, from two directions. This could take time, however.

Moving to the north in Dnepropetrovsk, the Vostok Group of Forces repelled a large Ukrainian counterattack between Sosnivka and Oleksiivka. Kiev forces sent in multiple convoys of armored vehicles, which were all destroyed or damaged by Russian drone units.

This was one of the largest counterattacks to be launched by Kiev forces in recent weeks. Still, no change of territories was reported.

The Vostok Group of Forces advanced, however, further to the east in Dnepropetrovsk, capturing Ivanivka and nearby areas along the Vovcha River, according to the Russian MoD.

Russian troops will be able to attack the western outskirts of Novopavlivka directly from Ivanivka. Advance towards the key settlement resumed earlier this month. Filiya to the southeast was fully secured, and earlier this week, Molodetske, to the northeast, was captured.

All in all, the Russian military is advancing slowly, but surely, in Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk, shifting focus from one area to another. Meanwhile, Ukraine is still fighting back without a clear strategy amid a clear shortage in manpower. If it was not for their drone units, Kiev forces would have experienced a major collapse in these two directions. However, this factor is becoming less and less effective as the Russian military employs more countermeasures. This was very clear in Mala Tokmachka.
