The Russian military launched early on June 20 yet another group strike against Ukraine in retaliation to recent attempts by the Kiev regime to damage Russian energy facilities.
In a statement, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that precision-guided air-launched missiles and drones were used in the group strike which targeted Ukrainian power facilities used in the production of weaponry for Kiev forces.
“The goal of the strike has been achieved,” the ministry said in its daily briefing. “All the assigned targets have been engaged.”
The Ukrainian Air Force said that the Russian military attacked Ukraine with nine missiles and 27 drones. As usual, it claimed that Ukrainian air defenses shot down all the drones and five missiles. However, Ukrainian officials reported losses in several regions.
Ukraine’s national power company, Ukrenerho, said that four regions were targeted in the course of the latest Russian group strike.
“Equipment was damaged at energy facilities in the Vinnytsya, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kyiv regions,” Ukrenerho said in a message on Telegram.
In addition, Ukraine’s largest private energy company, DTEK, said that one of its thermal power plants sustained “serious damage” as a result of the strike.
“This is already the seventh mass attack on the company’s thermal power plant in the last three months,” DTEK said on Telegram, without disclosing the location of the facility.
The group strike came following an overnight Ukrainian drone attack on Russia. More than a dozen drones were intercepted by Russian air defenses. Only minor damage was reported at two oil depots in the regions of Adygea and Tambov.
The Kiev regime intensified drone attacks on Russian territory in the last few months. In response, the Russian military resumed large-scale group strikes against military infrastructure and affiliated power facilities in Ukraine last March and launched a limited ground operation in the Kharkiv region in May.

these ua attacks on the ru always remind me of that last arena scene in gladiator when the patricidal emperor flails around in an arm lock trying to stab maximus and gets it in his throat instead.
