On November 6, the Russian military broke through Ukrainian defenses in two new areas between Zaporizhia and Dnepropetrovsk, increasing pressure on Kiev.
The Vostok [East] Group of Forces broke through Ukrainian defenses to the west of the Yanchur River in Zaporizhia, reaching Solodke. Russian troops have already stormed the settlement, and some preliminary reports indicate that it is already under control. This is yet to be confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense, however.
A few kilometers to the southeast of Solodke, most of Uspenivka on the Yanchur have been also reportedly captured by Russian troops.
Further to the south close to the river, the Vostok Group of Forces expanded its control from Okhotnyche, Poltavka, and Malinivka. Russian troops approached Nove, Novouspenivske, Vesele, and Zelenyi Hai. The troops have not yet attacked any of these settlements as of now.
The breakthrough in Solodke and other advances in nearby areas could soon cause the complete collapse of all remaining Ukrainian defenses to the west of the Yanchur. Kiev forces will likely only stop the Vostok Group of Forces along the Haichur River. This means that the battle of Huliapole is about to start.

Meanwhile in Dnepropetrovsk, the Vostok Group of Forces reached Orestopil on the Vovcha River after breaking through Ukrainian defenses between Sosnivka and Oleksiivka. Russian troops advanced some 3,5 kilometers to reach the southern outskirts of the settlement.
Clashes have likely begun in Orestopil. The capture of the settlement could lead to the collapse of nearby Ukrainian defenses to the south of the Vovcha.
To the east in Dnepropetrovsk, the Vosotok Group of Forces continued to advance towards Hai, also known as Gai, as well as towards Danylivka, which is located close to the start of the Yanchur.
The Russian advance in this area could mount some serious pressure on the defenses Kiev forces are likely setting up now along the Haichur, all the way down to Huliapole.
This Ukrainian collapse between Zaporizhia and Dnepropetrovsk is a direct result of Kiev’s decision to prioritize the defense of the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk over all other directions. From the Vovcha to the Yanchur, the situation is getting worse for Kiev forces by the day.
Kiev is about to take a heavy defeat in Pokrovsk, but the main blow could come between Zaporizhia and Dnepropetrovsk, where the chances of a major breakthrough by the Russian military are higher than ever, and that’s despite the serious threat posed by Ukrainian drone units.
