Russian Army Crushes Kiev Forces In Different Directions (Videos)

Kiev forces attempted to advance in different directions but met fierce resistance from the Russian military and sustained heavy losses, according to the October 4 briefing by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled four attacks by Ukraine’s 5th Assault Brigade, 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade and 53th Mechanized Brigade near Adreevka, Vodyanoye and Nevelskoye.

Up to 165 Ukrainian troops were killed or wounded during the fighting in this direction, the ministry said, adding that three motor vehicles, two armored fighting vehicles, one American-made M777 towed howitzer and one electronic warfare station were also destroyed.

Moreover, an ammunition depot of the 24th Mechanised Brigade was targeted and destroyed in the outskirts of Konstantinovka.

In the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled two attacks by the 21st Mechanised Brigade and the 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade close to Yampolovka and in the Serebryansky forestry.

Up to 50 Ukrainian troops, two armored fighting vehicles and two D-30 towed howitzers were neutralized in this direction, according to the ministry.

In the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces repelled an attack by the 127th Territorial Defence Brigade close to Priyutnoye. The group’s ground attack aircraft and attack helicopters also targeted gatherings of manpower and equipment the 72nd Mechanised Brigade near Novomikhailovka.

Some 185 Ukrainian troops were killed or wounded, the ministry said. Three armored fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles and one D-20 towed howitzer were also destroyed.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Zapad Group of Forces targeted several gatherings of manpower and equipment from the 25th Airborne Brigade, 32nd, 115th mechanized brigades and 103rd Territorial Defense Brigades close to Sinkovka, Berestovoye, Stelmakhovka and Artyomovka.

The ministry said that 30 Ukrainian troops, one tank and two motor vehicles were neutralized in this direction. An American-made AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery warfare radar was also destroyed near Schiykovka.

Moreover, two ammunition depots of the 41st Mechanised Brigade and the 113rd Territorial Defence Brigade were wiped out close to Kupyansk and Liptsy.

In the Zaporozhye direction, Russian forces attacked several gatherings from Ukraine’s 46th Airmobile Brigade and 15th Ukrainian National Guard Brigade close to Malaya Tokmachka and to the northwest of Verbovoye.

Up to 45 Ukrainian troops and two motor vehicles were neutralized during the fighting in this direction, according to the ministry, who also reported the destruction of three towed howitzer, a D-20, a D-30 and an American-made M119, by counter battery fire.

Meanwhile in the Kherson direction, Kiev forces lost some 20 troops, two motor vehicles, one American-made M777 towed howitzer and one ammunition depot of the 126th Territorial Defence Brigade near Kherson.

The Russian MoD also provided the following details during its briefing:

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have engaged AFU manpower and hardware in 114 areas during the day.

In addition, one P-18 radar station for the detection, identification and tracking of aerial targets was destroyed close to Krinichki (Nikolayev region).

Command and observation posts of the AFU 79th Air Assault Brigade, 5th Assault Brigade,and 100th Territorial Defence Brigade have been obliterated close to Praskoviyvka, Krasnoye, (Donetsk People’s Republic) and Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People’s Republic).

Fighter Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces intercepted one MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force close to Soldatskoye (Dnepropetrovsk region).

Russian air defense forces have intercepted two Neptune anti-ship missiles, one U.S.-made JDAM guided bomb, as well as seven HIMARS and Grad MLRS projectiles during the day.

Furthermore, during the day, 74 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were neutralized and suppressed by radio electronic warfare means close to Vasilevka, Kropivnitskoye, Peski (Donetsk People’s Republic), Verbovoye, Mirnoye, Ulyanovka, Ilchenkovo, Pologi, (Zaporozhye region), Krasnorechenskoye, Belogorovka (Lugansk People’s Republic), and Veliky Vyselok (Kherson region).

In total, 484 airplanes and 250 helicopters, 7,491 unmanned aerial vehicles, 440 air defense missile systems, 12,326 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,160 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 6,642 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 13,789 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

In addition, Russian news sources shared videos of recent airstrikes that targeted positions and gatherings of Kiev forces in different directions. All the pinpoint airstrikes were carried out with FAB-500M-62 bombs equipped with glide and guidance kits.

In the early morning, the Russian MoD announced that the military foiled an attempt by Ukrainian commandos to land in the Crimean Peninsula and shot down 31 suicide drones over Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk.

The Ukrainian counteroffensive has been ongoing for exactly four months. Despite sustaining heavy losses, Kiev forces are yet to break through any of the Russian military’s defensive lines. The counteroffensive could go on for a month or more before worsening weather conditions bring it to a halt.
