The Russian military’s Sever (North) Group of Forces inflicted losses on 14 different formations of Kiev forces in the Kursk direction, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on November 28.
In its daily briefing, the ministry said that the 21st, 41st, 44th, 47th mechanised brigades, 17th Heavy Mechanised Brigade, 5th Tank Brigade, 80th, 82nd, 95th air assault brigades, 36th Marine Brigade, 112th, 116th, 117th, and 129th territorial defence brigades took heavy losses near the settlements of Aleksandriya, Viktorovka, Daryino, Kurilovka, Lebedevka, Leonidovka, Martynovka, Nizhny Klin, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolsky, Novoivanovka, Plyokhovo, and Sverdlikovo.
The ministry added that Russian strikes hit troops and equipement of Kiev forces close to the settlements of Ivashkovsky, Pervy Knyazhy, Kruglenkoye, Kurilovka, Lebedevka, Leonidovo, Malaya Loknya, Martynovka, Makhnovka, Nizhny Klin, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolsky, Novaya Sorochina, Novoivanovka, Plyokhovo, Sverdlikovo, and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye in Kursk as well as near the settlements of Basovka, Belovody, Vorozhba, Zhuravka, Malaya Rybitsa, and Pavlovka in the neighboring Ukrainian region of Sumy.
“Over the past 24 hours, the AFU [Armed Forces of Ukraine] losses amounted to more than 250 troops. One infantry fighting vehicle, one armoured fighting vehicle, six motor vehicles, and five mortars were destroyed. One AFU serviceman surrendered,” the ministry stated in its briefing.
Videos posted to social networks showed some of the losses the Russian military inflicted on Kiev forces in Kursk over the last few days.
Kiev forces launched a surprise attack from Sumy into Kursk last August. The Russian military is currently conducting a counter-attack to clear the region.
According to the Russian MoD, since the start of the battle in Kursk Kiev forces have lost 36,260 troops, 223 tanks, 158 infantry fighting vehicles, 122 armored personnel carriers, 1,200 armored fighting vehicles, 1,044 motor vehicles, 304 artillery guns, 40 launchers, including 11 American-made HIMARS and six MLRS systems, 13 air defense systems, seven transport-loading vehicles, 70 electronic warfare stations, 13 counter-battery radars, four aerial radars, 27 engineering vehicles, including 13 counter obstacle vehicles, one UR-77 mine clearing vehicle, six armored recovery vehicle, and one command post vehicle.

but ukraine still remain entrenched and control a large piece of kursk. russian stuff is getting destroyed. it seems russia cannot remove ukraine from kursk so it will be down to negotiation from a position of strength when russia can get their destroyed kursk territory back.
