Russian Army Destroys Saboteur Training Base, Repels Several Attacks (Videos)

The Russian Aerospace Force had carried out a strike with high-precision weapons against a training base of Ukraine’s sabotage groups, the Russian Defense Ministry announced during a briefing on September 6.

“Last night, the Aerospace Force launched a group strike with long-range high accuracy weapons on a training base of Ukraine’s sabotage groups. The goal of the strike was achieved,” the ministry said.

During the same briefing, the ministry provided details on several recent advance attempts by Kiev forces in several directions.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled ten attacks by Ukraine’s 80th airborne assault, 110th mechanized and 59th motorized infantry brigades close to Kleshcheevka, Orekhovo-Vasilyovka, Khimik, Nevelskoye and Maryinka.

The group also targeted gatherings of manpower and equipment of the 17th Tank Brigade near Artyomovsk, also known as Bakhmut.

According to the ministry, Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 285 troops, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, five motor vehicles, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, one Rapira gun and one drone control post.

In the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces repelled an attack by the 38th Mechanised Brigade of Kiev forces near Novodonetskoye. The group also targeted gatherings near Urozhainoye and Novodonetskoye.

Kiev forces lost 180 troops, five tanks, two armored fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, one Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer, two Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers and one D-20 towed howitzer in this direction, the ministry said.

And in the Zaporozhye direction, the ministry said that four Ukrainian attacks were repelled near Verbovoye and Rabotino, adding that there were no changes in the tactical position of Russian troops.

Ukrainian losses amounted to 40 troops, one tank, two armored fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks, two American-made M777 towed howitzers, three American-made M109 self-propelled howitzers, one British-made FH-70 towed howitzer, two Msta-B towed howitzers, two D-30 towed howitzers and two Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Zapad Group of Forces managed to improve the tactical situation near Sverdlovka, according to the ministry. The group also repelled two counter-attacks by Ukraine’s 95th Airborne Assault Brigade close to Sergeevka.
Up to 40 Ukrainian troops were eliminated in this direction, the ministry said, adding that two motor vehicles, one American-made M109 Paladin self-propelled howitzer and one D-30 towed howitzer were destroyed.

Meanwhile in the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled two attacks by Ukraine’s 12th Special Forces Brigade and the 63rd Mechanised Brigade close to Chervonaya Dibrova and the Serebryansky forestry.

During the fighting, 50 Ukrainian troops, two armored fighting vehicles, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer and one D-30 towed howitzer were neutralized, according to the ministry.

In the Kherson direction, Kiev forces lost up to 65 troops, four motor vehicles and one Msta-B towed howitzer to Russian military fire.

The Russian MoD also provided the following details during its briefing:

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized manpower and military hardware in 103 areas.

Air defense systems have intercepted 12 HIMARS and Uragan rocket-propelled projectiles.

In addition, 17 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been intercepted and suppressed by electronic warfare means close to Makeevka, Novonikolskoye, Melovatka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Berestovoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), Pshenichnoye, Semyonovka (Zaporozhye region), Olshana (Kharkov region), and Krynki (Kherson region).

In total, 467 airplanes, 248 helicopters, 6,426 unmanned aerial vehicles, 435 air defense missile systems, 11,696 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,148 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 6,253 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 12,749 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Meanwhile, Russian news sources shared videos showing recent strikes by Ka-52 attack helicopters against two T-72M1 tanks, the destruction of a Sterla-10 air defense system, a failed Ukrainian armored attack near Soledar and artillery strikes against Kiev forces in the direction of Bakhmut.

Ukraine launched its counteroffensive more than three months ago. Despite sustaining heavy losses, its forces are yet to make any meaningful gains. Still, the counteroffensive is expected to continue well into winter.
