In the Sumy direction, Russian troops are advancing in small groups around Kondrativka, Korchakivka, and Myropillia. They are repelling counterattacks by Ukrainian troops, who are sending reinforcements to the area, including the “Skala” assault regiment. In the Slaviansk direction, Russian troops are clearing positions in Zakotne and Kryva Luka. They are surrounding Rai-Oleksandrivka from two sides and striking Ukrainian unit crossings in the Mayaky area to disrupt their logistics. In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian troops are expanding their control zone to the southwest of Priluky. They are fighting on the eastern outskirts of Vozdvizhevka and consolidating their positions in Verkhnia Tersa and Horke. They are also advancing gradually towards Huliaipilske. In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops advanced up to 950 meters in the Vovchansk sector. They fought in forested areas and the villages of Chaikivka and Volokhivka. In the Burluk sector, Russian troops captured the forests between the Vovcha River and the border and cleared positions in the “Severodonetskyi” nature reserve. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda called for Ukrainian drones violating the country’s airspace to be shot down, stating that the Armed Forces should destroy such unmanned aerial vehicles.

Sumy Direction

Russian units have captured the remnants of the forested area east of Korchakivka on the approaches to Nova Sich. This allows for further advancement south from two directions, including through the forest, which provides cover from drones. South of Yunakivka, Russian assault groups are advancing along tree lines. However, they must overcome vast open spaces, which is obviously difficult.

In the Myropillia area on the eastern flank, Russian units have repelled Ukrainian attacks from Zapsillia and maintained control of Myropillia. Ukrainian units attempted several times to attack from the direction of Mala Rybytsia using armored vehicles, but were unsuccessful.

Assault units of the “North” grouping continue to advance deeper into the Sumy region. Russian troops have struck Ukrainian unit personnel and equipment concentrations in Bila Bereza, Myrloha, Mala Rybytsia, Zapsillia, Peremoha, Bachivsk, Vilna Sloboda, Esman, Baranivka, Pustohorod, and Khotyn.

In the Shostka district, Russian assault units are clearing forested areas and advancing toward Bachivsk. Radiological, Chemical, and Biological Defense crews struck a concentration of Ukrainian 104th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade personnel with heavy flamethrower systems in the Baranivka area.

In the Sumy district, Russian assault units advanced up to 700 meters along nineteen fronts. Firefights continue in Kondrativka, Zapsillia, and the surrounding areas. In the Krasnopillia district, Russian assault groups advanced up to 800 meters on five sections in the vicinity of the captured settlements of Novodmytrivka and Taratutyne, as well as in forested areas near Riasne.

Slaviansk Direction

In the Rai-Oleksandrivka area in the Slavyansk direction, Russian units are continuing to clear the area. In Zakotne and Kryva Luka, Russian units are identifying the positions of Ukrainian troops on dominant heights from which they conduct observation. The presence of Ukrainian troops persists in the tactical “pocket” west of Reznykivka, and they are being engaged by artillery and strike drones.

In Rai-Oleksandrivka, Russian troops are attacking Ukrainian positions, encircling the settlement from the north and south. Clashes are ongoing along the Sukha River, where Ukrainian troops have established shelters in chalk quarries. The offensive from the south is being conducted from Lypivka. A large forested area lies northwest of Lypivka, where positions are intermixed and firefights continue.

Russian units struck a Ukrainian unit crossing in the Mayaky area with high-explosive aerial bombs, disrupting their logistics. Crews of the 25th Army continue to attack crossing routes to Shchurove, destroying Ukrainian watercraft.

Zaporizhzhia Direction

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, in the Pokrovsk sector, units of the 55th Division expanded their control zone to the southwest of Priluky. They are advancing toward Vozdvizhevka, where clashes are already taking place on the eastern outskirts. The entire area south of Verkhnia Tersa has become a “grey zone.”

There have also been successes in Verkhnia Tersa itself. Russian troops have consolidated their position in the village and pushed Ukrainian troops out of several blocks in the eastern part of the settlement. They have also consolidated their position in Horke.

From Myrne, Russian troops are engaging Ukrainian units’ positions in Huliaipilske and advancing gradually. The objective is to cut off the sector up to the western outskirts of Huliaipole and to disrupt the Ukrainian units’ main logistical route.

Kharkiv Direction

In the Kharkiv direction, the “North” grouping’s assault units continue to expand the security zone. Russian troops struck Ukrainian unit personnel and equipment concentrations in Zhovtneve, Izbitske, Ukrainka, Mytrofanivka, Odnorobivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Tsyrkuny, Kozacha Lopan, Zolochiv, and Ud.

Russian assault groups advanced up to 100 meters in the Veterynarne and Hranove areas. In the Vovchansk area, assault units advanced up to 950 meters along twelve fronts. There are ongoing firefights in the forested areas of the Vovchansk district, along the right bank of the Vovcha River, and in Chaikivka and Volokhivka.

In the Velykyi Burluk area, Russian assault units advanced up to 200 meters along five fronts. Along the Verkhnya Pysarivka–Symonivka line, Russian troops are advancing toward Losevka and southward through forested areas along the Siverskyi Donets. To the east, Russian assault units captured forested areas between the Vovcha River and the state border. Another part of the Severodonetskyi Landscape Reserve is now under control, and several positions near Chaikivka have been cleared.

In the Chuhunivka and Otradne areas, Russian units have captured several tree lines and ravines. Additionally, fighting continues on the approaches to Kolodezne, which Russian units are slowly but surely reaching.

Conclusion

Analysis of the operational situation indicates that high-intensity combat operations persist in all directions. In the Sumy direction, Russian troops are advancing in small groups through forested areas and repelling counterattacks. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military is moving reserves to stabilize the front. In the Slaviansk direction, Russian troops are gradually encircling Rai-Oleksandrivka and striking the Ukrainian units’ logistical routes, creating the conditions for a further advance. In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the expansion of the control zone and consolidation in settlements are accompanied by intense engagements. In the Kharkiv direction, Russian units are systematically expanding security zones by capturing forested areas and forcing Ukrainian units out of their positions.

An important event in the international political context was a statement by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda. He called for Ukrainian drones violating the country’s airspace to be shot down. Nausėda emphasized that any unmanned aerial vehicle flying into Lithuanian territory poses a threat because it is unclear where the vehicle was launched from, where it is supposed to fall, and what its purpose is. Therefore, he believes that the Lithuanian Armed Forces should destroy such drones. Commenting on cases of drone crashes in Finland and Latvia, Nausėda said the drones had veered off course and criticized the use of Lithuanian airspace for foreign drone transit. Since the end of March, Ukrainian drones have repeatedly flown into Latvian, Lithuanian, and Estonian airspace. Moscow issued a warning to the Baltic countries regarding their decision to allow drones to fly over their territory and attack Russia. Tallinn denied giving such permission and later demanded that Kyiv prevent such incidents in the future. Finland acted similarly when drones were found near the Russian border. These statements demonstrate NATO member states’ growing concern over incidents involving Ukrainian drones and their readiness to take harsh measures to protect their airspace.
