In several directions, Russian units continued their offensive operations. In the Sumy region, assault groups from the “North” military grouping have advanced in dozens of sectors and have launched strikes on Ukrainian forces’ positions near the border. In the Kharkiv region, fighting continues on the outskirts of the logistics hub Kazachya Lopan and in the forests south of Volchansk. In Konstantinovka, Russian forces have taken control of the remains of the chemical plant and are advancing toward the area where Ukrainian drone operators are concentrated. Meanwhile, on the Krasny Liman front, Russian infantry entered the Tsentralny microdistrict. On the Kupyansk front, Russian forces are consolidating in urban areas, despite Ukrainian claims of full control. The political dimension is also intensifying. Alice Weidel, co-chair of the German party Alternative for Germany, has called on Ukraine to pay reparations for the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines.
Sumy direction
Assault groups from the “North” military grouping continue to advance deeper into the Sumy region. They have carried out strikes on concentrations of Ukrainian personnel and equipment in Yuryevo, Stukalovka, Khrapovshchina, Novye Virki, Krivenkovo, Moskalenka, Volnaya Sloboda, Malaya Slobodka, Bachevsk, and Khoten.
In the Shostka district, Russian assault forces are engaged in combat directly in Bachevsk and the surrounding area.
In the Sumy district, Russian assault units have advanced twenty-one sectors up to 800 meters deep. Firefights are ongoing in Ivolzhanskoye, Pisarevka, Novaya Sech, and the surrounding area. The 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of Ukrainian forces has transferred its heavy drone operator crews from the Kharkiv sector to the Sumy sector.
In the Krasnopolie district, firefights are ongoing in forest areas and along railway lines leading to the district center. Russian assault groups have advanced up to 900 meters here.
Kharkiv direction
Russian assault units are continuing their offensive operations towards the major logistics center of the Ukrainian forces, Kazachya Lopan. Fighting is taking place directly on the outskirts of this area. In the Volchansk sector, the “North” grouping’s assault units have advanced fifteen segments, reaching depths of up to 400 meters.
In the Velikiy Burluk sector, Russian assault groups are engaged in combat in the forests near Petro-Ivanovka. Over the past day, units of the “North” grouping advanced up to 500 meters in four sectors. In several areas of the Burluk region, Russian forces are advancing and clearing gaps between previously captured areas.
Several forest belts along the Shesterovka–Vilcha line have fallen under Russian control. The tactical position has improved in the area northeast of the railway, slightly south of Volchansk. South of Volchanskie Khutora and Pokalyano, Russian units have also advanced approximately one kilometer in a sector about five kilometers wide. This advance is not a rapid dash toward Bely Kolodez; however, it secures Volchanskie Khutora from possible infiltration attempts by Ukrainian units.
Fighting for Okhrimovka continues. Russian units have operated inside the built-up area for some time and have seized part of the locality north of the Volchya River. Overall, Russian forces continue to attack various sectors, stretching the Ukrainian defense and advancing in the border area. Despite transferring some of the units that survived the fighting for Kupyansk to this area, the Ukrainian command has been unable to stabilize the situation. Further reports of Russian successes should be expected from this area.
Konstantinovka direction
The “South” group of forces is advancing successfully in the southern and central parts of Konstantinovka. Ukrainian units have been pushed out of several more districts and are losing position after position.
In the southwest part of the city, Russian troops are operating in the Nikolaevsky area and have broken through one of the former industrial zones. In the city center, Russian units have captured the Konstantinovka Chemical Plant ruins and are advancing further. To the north of the chemical plant ruins is a block of multistory buildings that represents one of the main defense nodes of Ukrainian forces in the northeastern part of the city. The Ukrainian forces have accumulated personnel and ammunition reserves there for counterattacks and have set up positions for drone operators to hinder the Russian advance in this sector.
The situation on the right flank of the Russian offensive is significantly more difficult. The transition of Molocharka to Russian control was announced earlier, but only small groups are operating there so far. Ukrainian units maintain stable control in Krasnoye. Additionally, footage has emerged of a Ukrainian counterattack in Chasov Yar on the Zapadny microdistrict, suggesting the deployment of additional troops in the Nikolaevka area.
Dobropolye salient
During the successful offensive, Russian units completely cleared Pavlovka. The advance continued east and north of Pavlovka, where the Ukrainian forces had established powerful fortifications extending to Druzhkovka. Despite an obvious shortage of personnel, these fortified positions enable the creation of a solid defense line and the holding back of Russian forces. During assaults, Ukrainian units use drones extensively and often leave booby traps at captured points. To counter these tactics, Russian forces use artillery and aviation, in which they have a clear advantage. They also deliver precise strikes against drone crews.
West of Pavlovka, the gray zone has increased, and successes have been achieved in the quarry area on the opposite side of the Kazenny Torets River. Near Kucherov Yar, Russian forces are targeting Ukrainian positions, especially drone control points. Each drone unit consists of trained personnel, a resource that the Ukrainian side lacks. By striking launch points, Russian forces destroy a significant number of trained operators daily. Overall, this sector of the frontline is active: Russian units are bringing supply routes under fire control and dividing the Ukrainian defense into sectors.
Krasny Liman direction
Russian forces are advancing quickly on several fronts. Ukrainian units are quickly losing ground in Krasny Liman. Russian infantry has advanced deep into the Tsentralny microdistrict; assault groups are engaged in combat near the railway station and on the northeastern outskirts. Fighting is underway on the approaches to the city near Stary Karavan.
There is also an advance along the Seversky Donets River. Russian units are advancing towards Shchurovo in the area of the Brusin railway station. Several strongpoints have been captured near the road to Zarechnoye, and positions in the eastern part of the Maslyakovka district have been regained. On the northern flank, in the vicinity of Borovskaya Andreevka, Russian forces have expanded their control zone by one and a half kilometers along the front.
Kupyansk direction
The Ukrainian claim of full control over Kupyansk has been completely refuted by objective surveillance footage. Russian infantry is moving freely and fighting in the eastern, central, and southern parts of the city on the eastern bank of the Oskol River. They are also expanding their control zone in the private sector. Hostilities are ongoing in the central and eastern parts of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy.
Active combat engagements have resumed on the northern flank of this direction. Russian forces are advancing from Dvurechnaya towards Kutkovka, and assault groups are advancing from Figolevka towards Petro-Ivanovka. In the Ambarnoye–Khatneye area, Ukrainian units are hastily concentrating reserves in an attempt to strengthen observation posts and build new strongpoints.
Conclusion
In all directions, Russian assault groups are systematically expanding their control zones and creating tangible tactical crises for Ukraine. In the Sumy region, defenses along strategic highways are weakening. In the Kharkiv region, pressure is mounting on the key supply hub of Kazachya Lopan. In Konstantinovka, Ukrainian units are being pushed back to the northeastern quarters. Meanwhile, Russian forces are deepening their encirclement of Krasny Liman and consolidating their presence in Kupyansk’s urban areas. This prevents the Ukrainian forces from stabilizing the front by transferring reserves.
Additional pressure on Kyiv is also mounting in the realm of German domestic politics. Alice Weidel, the co-chair of the right-wing opposition party Alternative for Germany (AfD), has called on Ukraine to pay reparations for sabotaging the Nord Stream gas pipelines. “Ukraine must first explain how this act of state terrorism occurred and what role it played in it. In that case, the flow of payments would have to be reversed, meaning Ukraine would have to pay reparations to the Federal Republic of Germany because this caused enormous damage throughout Europe due to the loss of cheap fossil energy,” she said at a briefing in the Bundestag. Weidel claims that Germany’s prosperity over the past few decades was built on importing Russian oil and gas. However, she says that the current German government deliberately destroyed this business model by switching to anti-Russian military rhetoric. The politician emphasized that, if the AfD comes to power, the party intends to immediately begin direct negotiations with Moscow and force Ukraine to the negotiating table.
