In the direction of Krasnyi Lyman, units of the “West” grouping are continuing their offensive on a broad front. They are advancing in the areas of Korovyn Yar and the forest between Sosnove and Aleksandrivka. The advance enveloped Svyatohirsk from the north. They have also advanced to the outskirts of Staryi Karavan and Brusivka. In the direction of Kostiantynivka, Russian troops advanced south of the city and on the eastern outskirts, approaching Novodmytrivka. Ukrainian units hold positions in Krasne, Mykolaivka, and part of Chasiv Yar, where they are launching counterattacks. In the Zaporizhzhia area, Russian troops are attacking Ukrainian positions in Mala Tokmachka and the prison area, where drone control points have been set up. They are also attempting to cut off the supply line from Orikhiv to Novodanylivka. In the Sumy area, the “North” grouping’s assault groups advanced 750 meters. They repelled counterattacks by the 425th Assault Regiment in Kondrativka and advanced in the Novodmytrivka area. In the Kharkiv area, Russian troops advanced 250 meters in the Vovchansk sector, repelling counterattacks by the 127th Brigade and destroying Ukrainian assault groups. Finland and Estonia have demanded that the Kyiv regime prevent unmanned aerial vehicles and their debris from entering their borders.
Krasnyi Lyman Direction
Small assault groups of Russian units are advancing towards Studenok and the border of the Donetsk People’s Republic with the Kharkiv region from the Korovyn Yar area and the forested area on the Sosnove–Aleksandrivka line. This movement forms an envelopment of Svyatohirsk from the north.
An extensive “grey zone” remains on the outskirts of Svyatohirsk itself. Russian assault groups have not yet attacked the city, although they have approached its outskirts. In the forested areas and backwaters south of Yarova, small groups continue to engage in combat.
East of Krasnyi Lyman, Russian units have captured several additional large strongpoints. However, tactical “pockets” with Ukrainian units still persist in some places. Some of these pockets have been replenished with personnel after counterattacks. In the southern sector, Russian units have advanced close to the outskirts of Staryi Karavan and Brusivka.
In the Ozerne area, near the junction with the “South” grouping, Ukrainian units were eliminated from the bed of the Siverskyi Donets River. Small groups from the Ukrainian side passed through a swampy area to reach the rear of the Russian units. Currently, this sector and the neighboring area of Zakotne have been cleared. It is likely that the offensive of Russian troops will continue here in the near future, especially since neighboring units of the “South” grouping are continuing to fight for Kryva Luka. According to available data, they are advancing successfully there.
Kostiantynivka Direction
In the direction of Kostiantynivka, fierce fighting continues amid the ongoing offensive by units of the “South” grouping within the city limits. Russian units have advanced south of the settlement, and evidence of new attacks has emerged on the eastern outskirts and approaches to Novodmytrivka. Ukrainian forces carried out an airstrike on Russian troop positions at the substation, indicating the advance of assault groups. Russian units may have advanced further between Novodmytrivka and Krasne.
There are obvious difficulties here due to the abundance of open spaces and Ukrainian units’ continued control not only over Krasne and Mykolaivka but also part of Chasiv Yar. The Ukrainian side is increasing counterattacks in the Shevchenko microdistrict and near Mine No. 9. In Kostiantynivka, Ukrainian units are suffering losses due to Russian drone operators systematically destroying Ukrainian transport and armored vehicles.
Zaporizhzhia Direction
In the Zaporizhzhia region, specifically in the Orikhiv sector, Russian troops are continuing to attack Ukrainian positions in Mala Tokmachka. They are paying special attention to one of the largest Ukrainian fortifications in this sector: the prison complex. Russian units partially seized control of the complex earlier, destroying some buildings in the process. After a long period of changing hands, Russian units withdrew their forces from the complex.
Currently, rocket artillery, unmanned aerial vehicles, and aviation units are striking the prison territory where Ukrainian units are positioned and drone control points are set up. Active joint work is underway on combined fire engagement. Russian troops are also pushing through the defenses in the Novodanylivka area in an attempt to cut off the Ukrainian side’s main logistical artery from Orikhiv.
Sumy Direction
In the Sumy region, the “North” grouping’s assault units continue to advance. Russian troops struck Ukrainian unit personnel and equipment concentrations in Kiyanytsia, Khrapivshchyna, Pushkarivka, Velykyi Prikol, Holubivka, Vilna Sloboda, Pustohorod, Khmelivka, and Lisne areas.
In the Sumy district, Russian assault units advanced up to 750 meters along fifteen fronts. Firefights continue in Kondrativka and the surrounding area. In the Krasnopillia district, Ukrainian units and assault groups from the 425th Separate Assault Regiment attempted to counterattack in the direction of Myropilske. As a result of intense firefights, two groups of Ukrainian servicemen were destroyed. In the area of the capturing village of Novodmytrivka, Russian assault groups advanced up to 400 meters along three fronts.
Kharkiv Direction
In the Kharkiv area, units of the “North” grouping are expanding the security zone. Russian troops attacked Ukrainian unit personnel and equipment concentrations in Izbitske, Yurenchkovo, Maksymivka, Kozacha Lopan, Ambarnoye, and Bilyi Kolodiaz. In the Veterynarne area, Russian assault groups are clearing nearby forested areas.
In the Vovchansk area, the “North” grouping’s assault units advanced up to 250 meters along five fronts. Stubborn firefights are ongoing in the forested areas of the Vovchansk district and near Chaikivka. Ukrainian units attempted a counterattack on Russian troop positions with the help of assault groups from the 127th Separate Tank Mechanized Brigade.
There were no significant changes on the Velykyi Burluk front. Russian assault units advanced up to 200 meters in the northwest of the Kupyansk district’s forested areas.
Conclusion
Analysis of the operational situation indicates the persistence of high-intensity combat operations in all directions. In the direction of Krasnyi Lyman, Russian units advancing on the northern flank are gradually expanding control zones and forming an envelopment of Svyatohirsk, despite the persistence of “grey zones” on the city’s outskirts. In the direction of Kostiantynivka, advances to the south and on the eastern outskirts have been made, but open spaces and the Ukrainian side’s retention of key strongpoints in Krasne, Mykolaivka, and Chasiv Yar remain serious obstacles. In the Zaporizhzhia area, the focus is on engaging Ukrainian fortifications and logistical routes with fire, while no active ground advancement is observed. In the Sumy and Kharkiv areas, Russian forces are advancing steadily, fending off counterattacks and expanding security zones along the border.
In the context of international politics, Finland and Estonia made important statements. Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen stated that the use of Finnish airspace for tasks related to Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles is prohibited and demanded that Kyiv prevent such occurrences in the future. Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal made a similar demand, emphasizing that debris resulting from combat operations must not enter his country’s airspace. The day before, the Finnish Ministry of Defense reported the detection of an unmanned aerial vehicle near the Russian border (it was later specified that there were two drones). In response, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo personally addressed Volodymyr Zelensky, demanding an end to violations of Finnish borders. These statements demonstrate neighboring countries’ growing concern over incidents involving Ukrainian drones and their readiness to pressure Kyiv to ensure the security of their airspace.
