The Russian military had repelled a new wave of Ukrainian attacks in the Donetsk, Krasny Liman, South Donetsk, and Zaporozhye sectors, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on June 25.
In a statement, the ministry said that the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled ten attacks by Kiev forces in the Donetsk direction, near the areas of Orekhovo-Vasilevka, Kurdyumovka, Yagodnoye, Zaliznyanskoye and Dubovo-Vasilevka. Four other Ukrainian attacks were repelled close to Krasnogorovka, Avdeevka, Mariynka, and Pervomaiskoye.
Up to 430 Ukrainian troops, 11 infantry fighting vehicles, seven high-mobility vehicles, three pickup trucks, and one D-30 howitzer were destroyed during the fighting, according to the ministry. In addition, an ammunition depot of the 110th Mechanised Brigade located near Avdeevka was targeted and destroyed.
Meanwhile in the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled attacks close to Yampolovka , Karamazinovka and Chervonaya Dibrova.
Air and artillery strikes targeted units of the 63rd and 67th mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the 15th Regiment of the Ukrainian National Guard near Nevskoye, Chervonaya Dibrova, and Kuzmino. Two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were also neutralized close to the Serebryansky forest.
The ministry said that Ukrainian losses as a result of these failed attacks amounted to 130 troops, three armored fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, and two D-20 howitzers. Moreover, three Ukrainian service members surrendered.
Furthermore, two attacks by the 128th Territorial Defence Brigade that took place near Priyutnoye were repelled by the Russian Vostok Group of Forces in the South Donetsk direction near the Vremevka salient.
In the Zaporozhye direction, an attack by units of the 47th Mechanised Brigade of twas repelled near Rabotino. Moreover, operational-tactical and ground-attack aviation struck gatherings of manpower and equipment near Orekhov and Novodanilovka.
The total losses of Kiev forces in these directions amounted to 170 troops, one tank, four armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, two Msta-B howitzers, and one D-30 howitzer. In addition, an ammunition depot of the 65th Mechanised Brigade was destroyed close to Kushugum.
The situation in other directions, according to the statement of the Russian MoD:
In Kupyansk direction, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on manpower and military hardware of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Krasnoye Pervoye, Novomlynsk, Kotlyarovka, and Masyutovka (Kharkov region). Up to 25 Ukrainian servicemen and two pick-up trucks were eliminated.
In Kherson direction, over 50 Ukrainian troops, two motor vehicles, and one U.S.-made M777 artillery systems have been eliminated during the day.
In addition, an ammunition depot of the 126th Territorial Defence Brigade was destroyed near Kazatskoye (Kherson region).
Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Group of Forces have engaged 108 AFU artillery units at their fire positions, manpower, and military hardware in 137 areas during the day.
Moreover, an ammunition depot of the 60th Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was destroyed close to Ogurtsovo (Kharkov region).
Russian air defense systems have intercepted one Tochka-U tactical missile and one HIMARS MLRS projectile during the day.
Moreover, four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been shot down close to Kolomyichikha (Lugansk People’s Republic), Soledar, Bakhmutskoye, and Novopetrikovka(Donetsk People’s Republic).
In total, 444 airplanes and 240 helicopters, 4,779 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defense missile systems, 10,348 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,131 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,228 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 11,179 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also released video footage documenting recent operations by artillerymen as well as strikes by attack helicopters.
A day earlier, Ukrainian officials announced the start of a new wave of attacks against the Russian military across the frontline. The attacks have apparently lost momentum and Kiev forces failed to advance in any direction.
Despite sustaining heavy losses, Kiev forces have been struggling to make any meaningful gains on the battlefield since launching their counteroffensive on June 4

these smaller artillery pieces are much better. surely they can make millions of those, just a couple of wheels and a cannon, easily man handable. like a pak38. probably easy to repair as well. the cost to destroy them is therefore much higher, ie cost of missile vs target.
