The Russian military has inflicted more human and material losses on Kiev forces in all directions, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense’s briefing on August 5.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Zapad Group of Forces captured Novosyolovskoye from Kiev forces. The group also improved the situation along the frontline close to Olshana and Pershotravnyovoye.
Moreover, three counterattacks by Ukraine’s 14th mechanized and 25th airborne brigades were repelled close to Sinkovka, Zagoruykovka and Berestovoye. The group’s aviation also targeted gatherings near Kupyansk, Petropavlovka, Tabaevka and Stelmakhovka.
Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 140 troops, two armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer as well as D-20 and Msta-B towed howitzers.
The ministry also said that Kiev forces made several unsuccessful advance attempts in the directions of Krasny Liman and Donetsk.
In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled eight enemy attacks close to Belogorovka, Avdeevka and Staromikhailovka. The group also targeted gatherings of Kiev forces near Bogdanovka, Kleshcheevka, Lastochkino, Maryinka and Krasnogorovka.
Kiev forces lost 230 troops, four armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer, a D-20 towed howitzer, three Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers and a Rapira anti-tank gun in this direction, according to the ministry.
Meanwhile in the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled three attacks by Ukraine’s 42nd Mechanised Brigade near the Serebryansky forest.
In addition, the group targeted gatherings of manpower and equipment close to Novogorovka, Nevskoye and Chervonaya Dibrova.
According to the ministry, 100 Ukrainian troops, three armored fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, an Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer and two D-30 towed howitzers were neutralized in this direction.
In the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces targeted several units of Kiev forces close to Ugledar, Prechistovka, Staromayorskoye and Rovnopol. As a result, Kiev forces lost 210 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, an American-made M777 howitzer and a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer.
In the Zaporozhye direction, Russian air and artillery strikes targeted Ukrainian units close to Chervonaya Krinitsa, Egorovka, Preobrazhenka, Novodanilovka and Pyatihatki. Up to 175 Ukrainian troops, two tanks, four armored fighting vehicles, two Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzers, four D-20 towed howitzers and a D-30 towed howitzer were neutralized.
In Kherson direction, Ukrainian losses as a result of Russian military operations amounted to 35 troops, three motor vehicles and a Msta-B towed howitzer.
The Russian MoD also provided the following details:
Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized 126 artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 138 areas.
In addition, 1 radar station for detecting aerial targets has been hit near Rogan (Kharkov region).
1 ammunition depot of the AFU 44th Mechanised Brigade has been destroyed near Torskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Air defense units have shot down 8 projectiles launched by HIMARS MLRS.
In addition, 22 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been shot down close to Olshana (Kharkov region), Melovatka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Belogorovka, Semigorye, Zaitsevo, Spornoye, Berestovoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), Chapaevka, Chistopolye, Tokmak, Tarasovka, Novozlatopol (Zaporozhye region), Malaya Lepetikha and Golaya Pristan (Kherson region).
In total, 458 airplanes, 245 helicopters, 5,518 unmanned aerial vehicles, 428 air defense missile systems, 11,130 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,142 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,768 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 12,071 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.
In addition, the Russian MoD and several news sources shared videos showing recent Russian air and artillery strikes against Ukrainian troops, vehicles and positions in different directions. The strikes resulted in heavy human and material losses.
Despite the failure of most recent attacks, Ukraine will not likely halt its counteroffensive any time soon. Facing pressures from its backers in the West who provided tens of billions in military aid, the Kiev regime will likely keep the counteroffensive going until next winter.

i think that is because initially you are seeing the video from the actual weapon which cuts out when it hits, they you see the feed from the observation drone. but agree they look edited.
