According to preliminary reports from Ukrainian frontlines, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation broke through Ukrainian defense and launched assault on the strategically important stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kurakhovo direction.
As a result of successful offensive operations, the assault units of the Southern group of forces approached the town of Uspenovka from the northern direction. They launched attacks from their stronghold in Dalnoe, bypassed Ukrainian defense north of Uspenovka and entered the village. Despite Ukrainian attempts to counterattack they gained a foothold in the village, the farms on the northeastern outskirts of Uspenovka came under their control.
Russian reportedly flag in Romanovka:
The village of Uspenovka was a strategically important stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine south of Kurakhovo. It was an important logistics hub with roads leading to different directions. The Ukrainian units were retreating to Uspenovka from their military positions in the villages to the east. While Ukrainian forces are grinded in the cauldron in Gannivka and Vesely Gay located on the eastern outskirts, the Russian military broke through Ukrainian defense west of Uspenovka. Russian forces launched assaults on Konstantinopolske and Sukhye Yaly villages. As a result, roads used for Ukrainian military supplies in the entire Southern Donetsk direction were cut off.
