On January 8, another Russian aerial bomb mistakenly fell in the Russian rear area. As a result of some malfunction, Russian FAB-250 heavy bomb fett in the area of the town of Rubezhnoe in the Luhansk People’s Republic. The bomb reportedly did not explode.
The head of the Republic confirmed the incident, but no footage from the area has not been published so far. According to the local official, no one was wounded as a result of the incident. The local residents were evacuated from the area. Everyone was offered accommodation at a temporary accommodation point.
“There are five people there now, including two children. The rest decided to stay with relatives and friends.” – the head of the LPR reported.
An investigative task force of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the military commandant’s office are working on the site. Specialists make a decision on the neutralization of ammunition.
The incident probably occurred during a new wave of Russian strikes on Ukrainian military facilities that took place in the morning.
This is the second Russian aerial missile, which accidentally fell in a residential rear area over the past week. LINK Moreover, another Russian FAB-250 planning aerial bomb was found in a field in the Belgorod region few days ago. Apparently, the bomb was launched at targets in the Kharkiv region, but for some reason it failed and fell in the border area.
Due to the massive use of such bombs during the military operations on all Ukrainian frontlines, unexploded aerial heavy bombs are discovered quite often both on Russian territory and on Ukrainian military positions.
However, the growing number of Russian missiles falling in the rear areas may raise some suspicions. Taking into account that some pro-Ukrainian saboteurs can still get to Russian military airfields LINK, these may not be accidents, but the result of successful operations by the Kiev regime.
