Russian Breakthrough In Konstantinovka: Ukraine’s Layered Defenses Collapsed

Units from the 114th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 127th Division of the Russian army have taken control of Zatishye. The Ukrainian command is sending air assault brigades to relieve the blockade of Myrnohrad. The U.S. and Ukraine are developing a new peace plan consisting of 19 points.

Zaporizhzhia Sector

In the southern part of the Zaporizhzhia sector, Russian troops from the 114th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 127th Division have taken control of Zatishye and nearby areas to the west. Zatishye is located on the very edge of Huliaipole.

Despite their fortified positions and attempts at a counterattack, Russian units reached Huliaipole. On the night of November 24, the units began their assault on the city, entering from the north, east, and south. An intensification of combat operations within the city limits is expected in the near future.

In the areas north of Huliaipole, between the Yanchur and Haichur rivers, positional battles continue. The Ukrainian army is attempting to transfer reserves and organize counterattacks to buy time in order to establish new defensive lines further west. Similar actions are observed in the Gai area, where Ukrainian commanders are concerned about Russian units possibly breaking through to the north beyond the second line of defense.

Sumy Sector

Russian assault units advanced up to 900 meters in total. A counterattack by the Ukrainian 71st Separate Jäger Brigade was repelled, inflicting significant losses on the attackers. In the Andreyevka area, Ukrainian 158th Separate Mechanized Brigade units are sustaining casualties from airstrikes, heavy flamethrowers, and artillery. Communication equipment has been damaged, and the positions lack medical support. Artillery continues to strike positions in the Pavlovka area.

Kharkiv Sector

The most active combat operations are taking place in Vovchansk and the surrounding area. Russian assault groups continue operations within the city limits and are gradually expanding their control zone. Air and artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions intensified over the past day.

In Vovchansk, units advanced through four suburban districts, clearing 30 buildings. The total advance was 350 meters. In Sinelnikovo, success continued in nearby forested areas, where two strong points were captured and up to 300 meters were advanced.

There has been an emergency transfer of reinforcements to hold positions in Vovchansk. Movement of the Ukrainian 225th Separate Assault Regiment and the 48th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion to the Vilcha settlement area has been recorded.

In the Melovoye-Khatnye sector, airstrikes and drone attacks destroyed positions held by the Ukrainian 151st Separate Mechanized Brigade and the 3rd Separate Tank Brigade in Mitrofanovka and Sery Yar.

Krasnolyman Sector

Control over a large strongpoint east of the settlement has been established in the area of the former airfield. A school building in the eastern part of the city has also been seized. Attempts at a counterattack continue with the aim of restraining the advance of assault groups.

To the south, battles are ongoing for control of the road to Yampol, and operations to establish control of strongpoints near the highway are ongoing. Between Krasny Lyman and Stavki, several large strongpoints remain, as well as a defense line from Kirovsk.

In the Stavki area, mopping-up operations are ongoing in the southern part of the village and on the farms on the eastern outskirts.

Pokrovsk Sector

Control over the Gornyak and Shakhtersky microdistricts in Pokrovsk has been established. Mopping-up operations are ongoing in the Rovnoye area. Attacks by the Ukrainian 82nd and 95th Air Assault Brigades and the 425th Assault Regiment from the Hrishyne area aimed at relieving the siege were repelled.

In Myrnohrad, the 51st Army’s assault units continue operations in the Vostochny and Zapadny microdistricts and the southern part of the city. One hundred forty-eight buildings have been cleared.

Siversk Sector

To neutralize the threat posed by the fortified area around Reznikovka, Kaleniki, and Rai-Aleksandrovka, units of the Russian 88th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade advanced approximately four kilometers west of Fedorovka and took control of Petrovskoye.

Capturing this area enabled them to reach the watershed of the Sorochya Balka and the Vasyukovka River. From there, they can see a significant part of the territory between the Sukhaya and Vasyukovka rivers. Strengthening positions in this area could pave es the way for reaching the Kirovo settlement and forming an operational ring around Siversk from the south.

Konstantinovka Sector

After an operational pause, advancement along the H-32 highway towards the intersection with the H-20 highway has resumed. Despite the use of countermeasures involving FPV drones, Russian units have taken control of areas on both sides of the road and have increased their presence in the tree lines. Clearing operations continue in the forested areas on the southeastern approaches to Stepanovka.

In Ivanopolye, control of the central part of the village has been established. After consolidating their position in the south, large infantry groups advanced northeast, capturing residential areas and the industrial zone.

The Ukrainian army attempted a counterattack by crossing the Kryvoy Torets River to recapture the northwestern part of Ivanopolye. After sustaining losses, the attack was halted. There was a temporary penetration into the northern part of Pleshcheevka without subsequent consolidation.

Advancement continues in the Santurynivka and Staraya Derevnya areas with the establishment of control over new sections of the village. Five residential blocks, a tram depot, and the forested area to the north have been taken. The offensive is advancing toward the railway station and the high-rise buildings along the T-0504.

Conclusion

As of November 24, the operational situation in the main sectors is characterized by the continuation of offensive actions by Russian units. In the Zaporizhzhia sector, establishing control over Zatishye creates conditions for operations to develop on the immediate approaches to Huliaipole. Ongoing battles in the interflute between the Yanchur and Haichur rivers indicate attempts to stabilize defenses on the western lines.

In the Sumy and Kharkiv sectors, methodical advancement continues, with counterattacks being repelled along with heavy use of aviation and drones. In the Krasnolyman area, consolidation at the former airfield and in the eastern part of the city creates prerequisites for further offensive development.

In the Pokrovsk sector, control of the Gornyak and Shakhtersky microdistricts and continued mopping-up operations in Rovnoye and Myrnohrad indicate the final phase of operations to control the urban agglomeration. In the Siversk sector, advancing towards the Sukhaya River and establishing control over Petrovskoye creates conditions for forming an operational ring around Siversk.

In the Konstantinovka sector, progress in four areas and consolidation in the central part of Ivanopolye indicate a decrease in defensive stability. Advancing along the H-32 highway and establishing control over key facilities in the Konstantinovka suburbs threatens the main logistical routes. Amid ongoing attempts to stabilize the front line, the overall operational situation continues to develop in favor of Russian units.

As hostilities develop, consultations on a settlement continue on the diplomatic track. According to the Financial Times, the U.S. and Ukraine are developing a new 19-point peace plan, but key decisions have been postponed. Complex territorial issues are expected to be brought to direct negotiations between American and Ukrainian leaders, which could occur in the near future. However, the exact date has not yet been determined.

Among the contentious provisions of the plan presented to Kyiv on November 20 are reducing the strength of the Armed Forces and transferring the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to international supervision for electricity distribution. Initial conditions also included renouncing NATO membership and recognizing territorial changes. However, according to Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk, territorial concessions and army reductions remain “red lines” for Ukraine. Kyiv considers EU and NATO membership an integral element of any future security guarantees.
