Russian Colonel Killed In Clashes in Aleppo

Alleged photo Ruslan Galitsky according to Russian media outlets

A Russian military adviser, Colonel Ruslan Galitsky, had died in the Syrian city of Aleppo, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Colonel Ruslan Galitsky has died in the hospital from severe wounds. Russian military doctors had been fighting for his life for a few days. The serviceman was wounded during shelling of a residential neighborhood in western Aleppo by militants of the so-called opposition,” the Russian state-run news agency, RIA Novosti, cited the statement.

Galitsky was working with a group of Russian military advisers in the area when the incident took place. He would be posthumously given a top military award, according to reports.

The photo above is circulating in the Russian media as a photo of Ruulan Galitsky.

SF recalls two Russian medics were killed by militant shelling in Aleppo on December 5.

whenever any russian dies in syria they give him the “highest award” maybe even the fucking paramedics

You know, the one who should give this honor would be the UN, because it’s about services to Humanity. So, unfortunately, it is Russia that assumes this role.

abu kornet

yeah, services to humanity while we use bunker busters on hospitals

Paulo Vieira

Full of terrorists .

a direct hit is never an accident. CIA stooges are around. Russians have to take out some CIA bastards as well.

The Daily Beast has more about this colonel. He was prior accused by Ukraine of coordinating the rebels there. So in Syria he may well have been the top operative as well.

I agree with Zuzana: this looks like something organized by the US.
