Syrian government forces led by General Suheil al-Hassan have encircled 1,500 militants of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) in eastern Idlib, the Russian Defense Ministry said, according to the state-run media.
“Assault troops of the Syrian governmental forces under command of General Hassan Suhel, while advancing along the road connecting Hama and Aleppo, joined the militia units near Herbet al Ghajar and Rasm al Harmal,” the defense mijnistry annonced. “Thus, they have completed encirclement of a large group of terrorist belonging to the terrorist organization Jabhat Al-Nusra in the eastern part of the Idlib Province.”
The ministry noted that the besieged militants are armed with battle tanks, armoured vehicles, artillery pieces and mortars. Now, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies are working to eliminate this group of militants.
According to the Russian media, government forces have killed over 600 militants in eastern Idlib and southern Aleppo under the operation in the area over the last month.
The SAA liberated the key Abu al-Duhur airbase in eastern Idlib on January 21. Next day, the SAA and the Tiger Forces liberated the nearby town of Abu al-Duhur.

Ok to give Syrian Insider some credit, your neighbours backyard unlikely would have camouflaged hangers as clearly seen on the picture. So maybe the image has indeed been taken along the perimeter fence of the Abu al-Duhur airbase. However, their target doesn’t seem any close / there’s nothing there to attack and by the time they got somewhere close, most likely nobody would have been able to press the button on the camera anymore :p.
