On April 9, a swarm of Russian KUB-BLA loitering munitions attacked several positions of Ukrainian forces in Luhansk.
Ukrainian sources shared photos showing the remains of the loitering munitions, which are commonly referred to as kamikaze drones. The sources didn’t provide any details about the results of the attack.

The KUB-BLA was designed by the ZALA Aero Group, a subsidiary of the Kalashnikov Concern. The loitering munition has an endurance of 30 minutes and a speed of up to 130 kilometers per hour. The munition is armed with a three-kilogram warhead.
The first documented use of the KUB-BLA in Ukraine was on March 12, when it hit a target in the Podil neighborhood in the capital, Kiev.

The KUB-BLA is not the only loitering munition in service with the Russian military. The ZALA Aero Group developed a more sophisticated loitering munition with the ability to detect, track and engage moving targets, the Lancet. This system is yet to be spotted in Ukraine.
With loitering munitions, the Russian military can detect and engage targets located behind the line of sight with high precision.
Russian loitering munitions will pose a serious challenge to Ukrainian forces. The detection and interception of these munitions, which have a small radar cross-section and a minimal infrared signature, will be extremely hard.

On the military front as I updated a week ago, the Russians have regrouped very successfully and have ramped up their weapons production and are systematically devastating the Nazi terrorists in Mariupol and Azovstal, which as suffered very limited damage, thanks to Russian precision strikes and joint Spetsnaz and Chechen urban warfare mastery. Large numbers of UAF are surrendering and are cornered like rats. The port is basically intact in in complete Russian hands. The UAF and Nazi scum tried to escape dressed as women in ships, but the Russian Navy has complete control of Azov and Black sea, so the murdering cowards trapped.
Russian use of very determined infantry buoyed by massive popular support and global revulsion at UAF and Naz war crimes, is proving very effective, despite the NATO criminals pouring billions of dollars worth of weapons into Ukraine, which is now a lost cause. Russia is doing very well and its military should be commended for the new effective tactics and true grit. Russia will prevail as I predicted initially. Its economy is strong, the sanctions are useless and the Red Army is on a winner.

The West already supplies loitering munitions to Ukraine. The western strategy is just to cause the maximum Russian losses they can, in the hope that Russia will then disengage. The west has done well with the high mobility strategy and to focus fighting in cities, where the going is always hard and draining. Of course that strategy can never directly take back territory.
It can buy time to build up the Ukrainian military, and drain the Russian. Also with time Sanctions will bite harder,the reality of the whats going on will get back to Russians who may not want to lose sons brothers and fathers for a pointless war to satisfy Putin’s Ego.

This indeed will be the interesting point. What that extra time would mean. Russia has options here and so does Ukraine. Russia could actually just add the minimum here to keep grinding away at Ukraine. It could do a slow burn on taking territory and just keep hitting Ukraine – broadly across the country, taking out the military infrastructure and – narrowly in pursuing the goals for LPR and DPR. On the other hand Russia could flood troops in and rapidly take more territory and maximise damage to eastern based Ukrainian forces. Ukraine could try to use the time to get in more equipment, but unless that equipment, gives them the real ability to take and hold territory – read heavy armour, assuming they could procure it, and safely get it to theatre (doubtful). Then their efforts are likely only to produce a protracted ineffective high loss response from themselves. It will be interesting – the choices that Russia makes.

As the British did firebombing German cities and the US did Nuking Japanese cities, both to get rid of pretty despicable people. Then of course Russia also has this option – that is the reality of war – only losing is a real crime!. With a seasoned Syrian experienced commander taking over, I am sure some techniques used there will come in to play, even up to running an insurgency over the rest of Ukraine to continue the civil war. In terms of logistics, Russia has been obviously keeping close to the borders to lessen logistical issues and it may be that a slow burn approach favours the continuance of this approach too. It certainly an interesting situation developing, with many decisions and options to take. It’s one of the most fascinating conflicts in modern times. Russia will face most of the NATO arsenal by proxy in terms of battlefield exposure, and wars are great for understanding real weapons and real weapon systems and learning to counter them!. In terms of flooding 150,000 is a very plausible number to be rocking up in the east, whilst still staying within the special operation allowance, and as there is no intention to hold wider territory, that would be a very capable number.

Did you remember the videos shot by citizens showing russian armored vehicles advancing? No such videos are being spread on the internet. This means that the russian are using ECM systems. Such systems obviously interfere with drones command and control signals. And they can spoof GPS too, as Iran has been doing for some years.

A single type of drone won’t really have a massive impact on the battlefield anyways. It’s the accumulation of damage from missile strikes, krasnopol strikes here and there, couple of drone strikes, airstrike, mlrs etc that cause the depletion of the ukrop army. They’ve entered the phase where they beg literally every single NATO member for more supplies, whilst at the same time claim they’re winning. It’s a paradox but hey, nothing that comes out of Kiev makes sense so at least they’re consistent in that regard.

The scale and scope of the Russian attack is remarkable. They captured territory in three weeks that is larger than the land mass of the United Kingdom. They then proceeded to carry out targeted attacks on key cities and military installations. We have not seen a single instance of a Ukrainian regiment or brigade size unit attacking and defeating a comparable Russian unit. Instead, the Russians have split the Ukrainian Army into fragments and cut their lines of communication. The Russians are consolidating their control of Mariupol and have secured all approaches on the Black Sea. Ukraine is now cut off in the South and the North.
Russia’s arrival in Kiev within three days of the invasion also caught my attention. I recalled that the Nazi’s in Operation Barbarossa took seven weeks to reach Kiev and the required 7 more weeks to subdue the city. The Nazis had the advantage of not pulling punches to avoid civilian casualties and were eager to destroy critical infrastructure. Yet many so-called American military experts claimed that Russia was bogged down. When a 24 mile (or 40 mile, depends on the news source) was positioned north of Kiev for more than a week, it was clear that Ukraine’s ability to launch significant military operations had been eliminated. If their artillery was intact, then that column was easy pickings for massive destruction. That did not happen. Alternatively, if the Ukrainian’s had a viable fixed wing or rotary wing capability they should have destroyed that column from the air. That did not happen. Or, if they had a viable cruise missile capability they should have rained down hell on the supposedly stalled Russian column. That did not happen. The Ukrainians did not even mount a significant infantry ambush of the column with their newly supplied U.S. Javelins.
Zelensky is a comedian and an actor. Not a very good one at that in my view. The West is cynically using the fact he is Jewish as a diversion from the size-able contingent of Neo-Nazis (and I mean genuine Nazis who still celebrate the Ukrainian Waffen SS unit’s accomplishments while fighting with the Nazis in WW II). While the rapid penetration of the special operation was impressive (it was never an occupying invasion as the troop ratios planned proved) – to be outside the gates of Kiev so quickly. The point of that exercise remains illusive. It could have been to pressure Kiev in negotiations – and it did, but then pulling out made little sense, it could have been a message – but an expensive one. Militarily it would have had an effect in diluting a response in the east, as Ukraine had to hold forces around Kiev – but again a pullout would make little sense. Of course Ukrainian forces have been decimated around Kiev and overall Ukrainian military capability degraded, but again, this penetration and subsequent pullout seems an overkill and waste with regard to overall Russian goals of the special operation – To denazify Ukraine, to reduce Ukraine military strength (no threat to Russia), to prevent NATO membership including foreign weapons and forces on Ukrainian territory, LPR and DPR safety and independence.

They can show and write what they want on twitter, but the truth on the ground is that their army is currently composed of small pieces, separated from each other, incapable of effectively communicate, with no way to replenish ammo, fuels and get reinforcements.
And at this point comes the true objective of the “special operation”. The ukronazi inside the army have shifted to the guerrilla warfare. And this type of war is nasty and needs to be thought street by street, house by house. Nonetheless it is like having a brazilian drug gang sieged in their favela, while the police outside starves them and kills them one by one.
Again I would argue that even if that was the objective – to break up command and control. The effort was inefficient – Battalion groups sitting at the side of the road would have little effect on that goal. That goal would be better achieved by decimating control facilities and communication infrastructure coupled with normal decimation of the armed services themselves – all achievable with precision strikes, aviation and targeted special operations. I don’t accept that thousands of exposed parked tanks and other armed vehicles have a massive effect on command and control capabilities. Indeed NATO has honed this part of the Ukrainian operation. Yes, the reality is as you say, the Ukrainian armed services are disjointed, but I argue that is because of precision strikes and aviation rather than much to do with rocking up to the gates of Kiev! I honestly, have no idea what doing this, then pulling out was designed to achieve, or what it achieved in terms of strategic aims and goals.
