UPD: The southern region of Odessa came under massive combined strikes of Russian drones and missiles. The local Shkolny airfield suffered heavy damage. Fuel depots, hangars and repare facilities were destroyed, as well as the radar station of the foreign NASAMS air defense system. Railway tracks, administrative and industrial facilities, warehouses, fuel depots and berths were destroyed or heavily damaged in the seaports of Chernomorsk and Yuzhny (Pivdennyi).
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue precision strikes on Ukrainian rear infrastructure. On the night of January 28, Ukraine came under another wave of Russian drone strikes.
According to the air Force of Ukraine, in total 100 Russian UAVs targeted Ukrainian territory last night. 65 out of them were allegedly destroyed by Ukrainian air defense. 28 more Russian drones reportedly ”did not reach their targets and were ‘locally lost”. Thus, according to the Ukrainian military, only seven Russian drones struck some targets in Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation summed up the interim results of the ongoing military operations and confirmed strikes on Ukrainian military infrastructure, including military airfields, production and storage sites for drones and unmanned boats.
‘Using tactical aircraft, drones, missiles and artillery systems, Russian military personnel successfully struck the infrastructure of Ukrainian military airfields, production and storage sites for drones and unmanned boats. In addition, the Russian Armed Forces inflicted damage to enemy equipment and manpower in 152 districts,’ the report reads.
Ukrainian media reported damage throughout the country. Russian drones were spotted in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkassy, Poltava, Odessa, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv regions. Damage was confirmed in the Ukrainian capital.
As a result of night strikes, a large fire broke out in the border Kharkiv region. The locals confirmed damage to an industrial facility in the city of Kharkiv. According to some reports, the target was a woodworking shop. The exact target of the strikes is yet to be revealed but the Ukrainian military often uses civilian and industrial facilities to produce, store and repare military equipment.
Another precision strike was reported in the Mykolaiv region. Russian drones reportedly struck the point of temporary deployment of Ukrainian servicemen in the town of Pervomaisk.
Russian UAVs targeted Ukrainian military airfields, including Shkolny in Odessa and Vasilkov Kyiv, but any damage is to be confirmed. A large fire was reported in Vasilkov. Explosions thundered throughout the Kyiv region.

More Russian strikes were recorded in the city of Uman in the Cherkassy region, where another industrial facility was reportedly damaged. A fire was also reported in the industrial zone of the city of Krivy Rih in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
The constant Russian strikes increase pressure on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure, logistics hubs, disrupt operations of large industrial facilities, destroy small workshops that provide for the needs of the Ukrainian military. As a result of the precision Russian strikes on warehouses and launch sites in the Eastern regions, the massive Ukrainian drone and missile strikes on Russian territory are disrupted.
