The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) have targeted militants preparing to attack Turkish forces in Syria’s northern region, RusVesna.SU revealed on April 30.

According to the outlet, the VKS quickly took action after receiving information indicating that the militants were about to launch two attacks on Turkish forces in the northern countryside of Aleppo and the northern Raqqa countryside.

Russian warplanes bombed the militants who were gathered near the town of Shuarghat al-Arz in northern Aleppo and Khurbat al-Ruzz in northern Raqqa.

The militants were targeted with several FOTAB 100-80 flash bombs, which are designed to produce an instant intense bright flash.

The FOTAB bomb has a burning time of 2.2 to 3.5 minutes and a light intensity of 22,000 to 700,000 candlepower. The bombs’ strong flash disputed the militants’ combat capabilities without harming Turkish forces, which were stationed nearby.

The Russian airstrikes were reported by Syrian opposition sources. However, some sources mistook the flash bombs for air-to-air missiles.

The airstrikes coincided with another VKS operation, during which six hostile drones were shot down and a number of high-value targets in northwestern Hama were destroyed.

In its report, RusVesna noted that radical groups, like Horas al-Din and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, stepped up their attacks on Turkish forces and Turkish-backed militants in the last few days. The failure of these forces was behind the recent intervention by the VKS.

Erdogan needs to call President Putin to thank him, again… You are welcome guys…

Condolences to the fallen wahabimossad and CIAisis operators. May they rest in pieces…

What the hell is this logic? Erdogania is the only reason why these terrorist haven’t been eradicated yet in the first place and now Russia helps Erdoganians to defend themselves from their own puppets? MEANWHILE THE ERDOGAN EMPIRE SUPPORTS UKRAINE VS RUSSIA, lmao. Putin is turning into the next Yeltsin. When Russia is part of the Erdoganian Empire, the Turks will be merciful and all Russians who accept Islam will be treated fairly, or those who become zio-jews will also be treated fairly to thank Israel for it’s friendship with the Erdoganian state. This is in thanks to Putin’s help to the sultan Erdogg.

I know now why Syrians never attack Americans directly, they are probably afraid that the Russians would end up bombing them to protect their American “partners”.

Also, what the hell happened to the comment section?? Why is it so ugly all the sudden?

Steve Standley

The comment sections are a pain now. I won’t be posting in them until they revert or get better at least.

Has Discus dropped Southfront ?

disTheeNot

SF is a WordPress site.

It should be able to handle comments a bit better than it currently does

I told you guys, Disqus it’s a U.S company, if the U.S totalitarian regime push strong enough they have to submit to their totalitarian goverment.

@Ivanus59 , Have to agree and what we are told and what we see has not been the same for some time now.. Who knows what is really going on in the background out of sight. With the comments section maybe Discuss dropped them for not paying the bills , assuming they paid for the service. It is a bit clunky now but we shall see what happens..

This would have to be a move by the Russian’s to cock-block the US from doing any damage to the Turk’s now that the Turk’s are standing against them more and more.

Would have been interesting to see how the Turks ‘handled’ the American proxies after the flash bomb….

****On a side-note, is there anyway Southfront can make the comments section easier to read? It just all blurs together at the moment. Thanks.

opet ja

I don’t understand this: these bombs can kill or just make dark into the day?? Next time they should bomb them with chocolate candies…

James

Their deaf, blind, and burnt. But still alive….enough for the Turk’s to take care of them ;)

The same source claimed previously that, I quote: Al-Qaeda-affiliated Horas al-Din and Ansar al-Tawhid are still preparing to launch a large-scale offensive in Greater Idlib against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies”… so what was it in the end?!
