The Russian military has captured a Ukrainian-made Nota counter-drone electronic warfare (EW) system from Kiev forces
On June 2, photos of the EW system, which was reportedly captured on Kherson front, surfaced online. The photos indicate that most of the system’s components were captured by the Russian military.

The Nota was mainly developed by Tritel to counter drones. The EW system can allegedly provide perimeter protection, detecting and jamming of drone at a maximum range of 20 kilometers. Besides the counter-drone role, the system has the ability to jam cellular communications within one kilometer.
The EW system can also provide direction-finding capabilities to detect radio frequency signals – GSM, VHF, LTE, and CDMA – radar emission in the L, S, C, and X frequency bands, and the GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou satellite navigation systems.
Tritel developed a vehicle-mount version of the system and a man-portable version. The latest was the one captured by the Russian military.
The captured system will likely provide the Russian military with a detailed insight on the EW capabilities of Ukraine and help it develop counter measures.
Kiev forces have been employing all of their EW capabilities since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. Despite this, they have so far failed to disturb or hinder the operations of the Russian military and its allies.
