Russian Forces Move Into Northeast Syrian Oil And Gas Fields Near Raqqah

On March 13th, Russian forces took control over the al-Thawra oil facility.

It is located in southwest Raqqa governorate in northeastern Syria.

This didn’t happen by fighting, but rather after the Iran-aligned Liwa Fatemiyoun militia withdrew from the site.

Russian military reinforcements alongside units from the Russian-backed Fifth Armored Division arrived at al-Thawra oil facility which produces around 2,000 bpd, media sources based in Syria’s Euphrates region reported.

The oil facility used to produce around 6,000 bpd before 2010.

This happened after on March 12th, Russia captured the Toueinane gas field in Raqqa’s countryside.

The Touneinane gas field, which was controlled by Iranian proxies and operated by HESCO, it produces about 3 million cubic meters of natural gas per day, 60 tons of domestic gas, and two thousand barrels of gas condensate.

Nine Russian military vehicles and four troop carriers transporting members of the Fifth Armored Division rolled into al-Thawra oil facility after Iran-aligned Fatemiyoun militia withdrew from the site as part of understandings reached with Russian forces, reported Eye of Euphrates, a local Syrian opposition media outlet.

Eye of Euphrates correspondents reported on seven Russian military vehicles and three troop carriers transporting members of the Fifth Armored Division arriving at the Touneinane gas field.

It is unknown if the gas field was also freed as part of an agreement.

This is a significant shift, since Russia is allied to Damascus, prior to that most of Syria’s oil went to the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces or various Turkish proxies. Iran’s control was always contested, subject to constant ISIS and other attacks.

Since early January, the Turkish proxies smuggling oil from northeastern Syria have been subject to constant, heavy attacks, and videos of the hellfire are not uncommon. As such, Damascus’ forces and Russian support are moving in to bring some of the revenue back to the Syrian people.

Good news. Now it is time to kick the US from Syria soil.

Sylvain Jeuland

Maybe secure Aleppo-Manbij motorway first. And near Al-Ra’i border. And Tishrin Dam. And M4 commercial road to East.

Jens Holm

Maybee they should ISIS make them a tunnel:)

Clarence Spangle

IMF Jéws are in bed with the Turks, Saudis, and NATO, they were worried about a Trump audit of the Federal Reserve… and about Trump and Putin teaming up to destroy them once and for all…Trump was a vote for peace, and peace does not make money for the weapon industry.

The pseudo secular media and their zíonist masters profit from destabilization. Retaining control of US foreign policy is what drives the neo-cons and Hillary’s flying monkeys… along with the millions Goldman Sachs and the Saudis have paid them.

You’re serious?

Sylvain Jeuland

Could you precise your question please ?

verner

blind of lacking some basic thinking capabilities – in my mind hilarious.

Sylvain Jeuland

Assad wins. It’s not related to chemical attacks.

Just Me

Assad is a very educated leader. He is courageous and has withstood the worst US, Wahhabi and Zionist terror campaign against secular and once prosperous Syria. Turkey is the main destabilizing terrorist sponsor in the region.

Sylvain Jeuland

Yes, but the images were linked to chemical attacks. I don’t see the point with regaining some territories thanks to Liwa Fatemiyoun.

Just Me

The CIA staged the “chemical attacks”, not even the UN could prove any Syrian government involvement. These false flags are used to justify US acts of aggression. US has history of lies dating back to the Gulf of Tonkin.

Sylvain Jeuland

Yes, I know all that. But up to me, fake chemical attack stories are old and “hors-sujet” in this matter of retaking the North and consolidating it. Nevertheless, the third image with Assad and the army is more accurate, so I did not ask question then.

FlorianGeyer

Russia is now providing security for the Syrian the oil wells so that the US/Jews cannot use the excuse to bomb the Iranian militia and to destroy the wells at the same time.

Russia’s diplomatic stance is hardening against the morons of the US and NATO this year. I welcome the hardened stance.

Sylvain Jeuland

Yes, I know all this and all matters about the whole situation.

The only thing I don’t understand, my only problem is : Why someone is answering me with “Chemical attacks” subject in an article about “Liwa Fatemiyoun and Russian forces”.

They are two separate matters, even if they are both linked in Syria war, that’s all.

But it’s difficult for many people here to understand my point (not especially you). By the ways, I always thank people to give any information.

FlorianGeyer

The Syrian conflict is ,in my opinion, the most complicated in history. This is due to the plethora of ‘players’ particularly from the Western oriented nations. The Western spiders web of deceit is very very complex and ‘perfidious albion’ is a main web spinner.

verner

sure he will but you still don’t get the effing meaning of the photo, do you!

Sylvain Jeuland

These images about past chemical narratives are very easy to understand. But they are not related to Afghan militias and Russian forces in North Syria in March 2021.

Blas de Lezo

When “ISIS” was about to overrun Tiyas airbase, Assad “used” WMDs on innocent civilians in a city instead of ISIS terrorists in the desert.

Sylvain Jeuland

Thanks for this information.

Jens Holm

Nothing wrong with Your microskope.

Sylvain Jeuland

Could you precise your comment, please ?

Jens Holm

I agree, You are correct.

Sylvain Jeuland

Thank you, have a good night

Jens Holm

Indeed your comments are…

Jens Holm

I see none of that. After false everything after that can be true.

Lone Ranger

Thanks for proving my point…

Latest Syrian MiG-29SMT fighters are accurate and dangerous Syria received dozens of fighter jets from the Russian Federation last year. They are model MiG-29 SMT. We know about the Russian fighter’s combat capabilities from this model, but the SMT version differs significantly….

There are rumors among the Russian authorities in the Kremlin that Syria is preparing to buy a MiG-35, further increasing the country’s air defense capabilities. https://bulgarianmilitary.com/2021/03/15/latest-syrian-mig-29smt-fighters-are-accurate-and-dangerous/

farbat

russia is focusing on accuracy of all weapons nowadays and the soviet arsenal it has should all be upgraded instead of scrapped

farbat

the biggest failure of america is its graveyards where it scraps weapons because it doesnt has the maintenance capability

farbat

the f14 if upgraded is a perfect jet for stealth capabilities for example because it wears its bombs and missiles on the body not on the wings but they scrapped theirs

Frank G

it was actually the f-18 hornets that replaced tomcats. tomcats had longer range/combat radius, used BVR missles, it is a larger, faster, more capable plane if it had been modernized the USN would of had a really badass fighter/interceptor. good thing they keep shooting themselves in the foot for lesser planes, that have fewer positives than negatives for what they replace. f-18/super hornets, will eventually be replaced by f-35s.

Cromwell

Good information, thats been the problem for decades, those Arab Countries shoud have built a modern well trained airforce with plenty of jets to back it up,also state of the art air defence systems, then they could confront the Israelis on equal grounds.

FlorianGeyer

UN sanctions prevented that for many years.

Assad must stay

Nice!!! Keep taking back all oil fields rightfully belonging to bashar al assad and his people

Clarence Spangle

Jews Albright and Clark had NATO bomb Serbia so the IMF Jews could make loans for rebuilding and get control of Serbian iridium assets… while Saudi non-profit n.g.o.s kept the KLA terrorists well fed and well armed… Just like ISIS in Syria… their Zionist bedfellows on Wall Street want Ukraine for GMO grain crops… Monsanto, Genentec, ADM, etc., are all buying land with the help of the Jews at the IMF by giving the Ukrainian “Dill” idiots debt relief… IMF = Israeli Military Fund

Jewish U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff (D), the great grandson of Jacob Schiff (who funded Bolshevism, Leon Trotsky, and the October Revolution from Wall Street) is following in his great grandfather’s footsteps by illegally trafficking weapons with Igor Pasternak, funding foreign conflicts abroad… and trying to get Syria for the oil pipelines by blaming the Russians for another false flag… ISIS = Khazar = Kiev junta = Zionist IMF

Frank

Frankly, your comments are a wee bit bi-polar. You are part Wahhabi and part pan Arab. Please explain your issue with Dr. Assad?

Clarence Spangle

You’re cum drunk.

Jens Holm

N ot in this.

You even are wrong in most things being as if You are a filthy serb of the worst.

Dude – how come from one comment to another, the quality of the English used under that account is so wildly variable, one time its readable, the next its Google translation garble. How many people are using that account?

Frank

This is win-win for Russia and Iran as well. It frees a lot of Iranian allied militias to move into Eastern Euphrates to secure the Tehran-Beirut highway and also participate in the upcoming anti-terrorism operation in Idlib. A Hezbollah delegation is getting the VIP treatment in Moscow and increased political and military support is coming.

Just Me

In an ultimate insult to Erdogan’s efforts to kiss Saudi a$$, even the Saudis rejected it.

Saudi Arabia dismisses Turkish rush for rapprochement, takes part in air manoeuvres with Greece after describing Turkey as a threat to Arab sovereignty.

Egyptian satisfaction with Saudi moves to curtail Turkey’s expansionism in the Eastern Mediterranean and Syria.

Blas de Lezo

Netanyahu, AIPAC and their puppets in the government and in the military must be having a nervous breakdown.

Cromwell

Great move, now serve notice on those US Bitches we are coming.

verner

would be better to read that russian forces had moved into north west of palestine to finish off the parasite jews in one clean swoooop, never to be heard from again.

Jens Holm

Its so pathetic and funny.

Those fields were the ones Assads cryed and screamed for the SDFs should not take.

They are not even safe today after SDF, USA and FRance took Tabqa dam, tabqa and the tabqa airfield west of it.

Assad s even made an airattack at the SDFs for blocking this and that and for good reasons was punished for their stupidity once again.

Its same thing again. The only kind of friends Assad has has to jump up and down in ancient nepotistic ineffective corrupt systems, which also show the rest of the Assad cirkus well.

Now Russians has to take that area – again – sober possetion. When they took it last time it was full of mines, which probatly partly has been removed. The population might be there, but also today is low.

Iranians for staying in Iran – HIP HIP

Blas de Lezo

Biden will be winding down in Syria and the JCPOA is a done deal.

mike hutchings

when this nonsense of Biden the brainless undoing Trump comes to an end Syria will line up against the Turks that would tear her apart…..

FlorianGeyer

Goodbye Turk bum-boy.

mike hutchings

same to you

SOF

Very good news, but more of those oil fields need to be taken back. The US backed SDF can go rot in the middle of nowhere.
