After the failure of the offensive on the Kherson front, Ukrainian forces have achieved significant success in the Kharkiv region. We need to know how many soldiers and forces ucros have fielded in this northern offensive, and how many forces russians have. This time seems simply that ucros are advancing without resistence, it’s absurd to say the least.

Looks like the Russians have managed to stabilize the front lines. The coming weeks will tell. It should have never happened though. More or less Ukraine has met no resistance up until today. Russia leaves huge swathes of territory undefended. Unbelievable.

There are proximate and then there are ultimate drivers of this conflict. The proximate causes are the border lines of the Ukraine drawn by Kruschev and possibly Lenin. The ultimate driver of this conflict is the collapse of Socialism in the West. As Margaret Thatcher noted, Socialism fails when you run out of other peoples money. Western Europe is at that point. Governments generally in the western world have promised more in benefits to win elections than they can hope to pay. For Europe, Australia, and America to declare unofficial war on Russia at this point, aside from all the corruption, is unethical in the extreme. It grieves me to say that Russia is now justified using tactical nuclear weapons against governments too cowardly to declare war. Welcome to the march of folly.
Like being lured into the trap. Russia is committed to regaining the entire Donbass région. Remember Russia has been in a regrouping and resupply stage past weeks. I find it hard to think Russia did not expect Niece to do something out of desperation for more pitiful handouts from NATO. Besides, wait till it becomes known that NATO troops are being depleted taking major role in any “offensive.”
Russia can not win and end this war with only 200k troops on a 1200km frontline, and will never liberate the southwestern coast with Odessa, without double theyr troops. With 500k from day one, this war would be over in April.

Those ukras suddenly has a job and live better then at home. Mos of them send money home every month. Ukras has no EU right but an affiliate version. Most ukras actually work in Poland of today.
Thats because so many moe well paid poles live hereand many of them later on might be danes. No problems in culture and relgion. Danes marries Poles and vice versa. Ukras seemes to fit in well in that too. It might be because we are more sekular then them.
Compared to that Muslims too often behave like minority. They choose to.
This is not good. The Kharkiv region needs to be under Russian control, as it is ancient Russian territory. I just regret all the dead civilian victims sacrificed to altar of Russian military incompetence. And I regret those villagers who trusted Russia and now will get killed by Ukrainian NAZIs because labeled as “collaborators” . Absolutely disgusting how Russian military-political “elites” treat Donbass citizens as second class disposable citizens. Their lives obviously do not count. Over 800 dead and over 3000 wounded since the start of the “operation” to “save” Donbass so far. After 8 years of war, Russia was supposed to save them not scarify them

This update is one sided and overblown: It ignore the gains in the main battle of the Donbass which are being won every day. Once reinforcements arrive, all the Ukrainian successes will be wiped out.
No it won’t “wipe out” all the success since that success are built on huge Russian military incompetence in that region. Responsible commanding officers should be removed from their duty and put on trail Many civilians (specially those recognized as pro Russian ) will pay with their lives on way or another.
Russian army does NOT guarantee the safety of the local population against the NAZIs and that is the fact.
From the diplomatic point of view, this offensive is not a great success. Ukraine wearing down it’s forces to recapture a bit of land that they can’t hold long-term anyways is not exactly going to push Russia into making any concessions.
People of Donbass should only trust their LPR and DPR army forces. They can not trust in protection of Russian army which is not reliable. Too many incompetent Russian officers.
