On November 20, a Russian cruise missile hit the outskirts of the town of Talteta in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib, without causing any casualties or material losses.
The cruise missile was identified as a 9M728 which is launched from the 9K720 Iskander system. The 9M728 has a known range of 500 kilometers. The missile is guided by a GLONASS-aided inertial navigation system and equipped with a terrain contour matching system that allows it to fly at an extremely low level.
Greater Idlib is occupied by several terrorist groups and Turkish-backed factions. The Turkish military is also present there. Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham is the de-facto ruler of the region.
Russian news sources said that the cruise missile was launched during a joint live-fire exercise between the Russian military and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA). The missile was allegedly carrying a dummy warhead. The sources shared a video of the alleged launch. The video is yet to be verified, however.
The Russian military grouping in Syria and the SAA held a series of joint live-fire exercises over the last few months. Some of the exercises took place near Greater Idlib.
The missile strike on Greater Idlib came just a few hours after a series of Turkish airstrikes that targeted Kurdish-held areas in Syria’s northern region. Several positions of the SAA were hit. A number of Syrian service members were reportedly killed.
It is possible that the Russian-Syrian missile strike was meant as a warning to Turkey, its proxies and terrorist groups in Greater Idlib.

No. It was meant as a warning to Israel.
Next time Israel bomb Syria there is a risk that Russia/Syria will hit the sea 100 km from Israel with an Iskander missile as a second exercise warning.
If Israel do it again or if the Joos kill more Russian generals, if they do it again
Why not white fucking house in dc????
