On June 26, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) again fired at the platform of the the drilling rig of the Chernomorneftegaz enterprise in the Black Sea. The attack was confirmed by a representative of the emergency services of Crimea.
The strike was carried out at night and it hit the self-lifting floating drilling rig “Tavrida”. The shell hit the helipad, leaving a hole with a diameter of almost 5 m.
According to local officials, no one was injured as a result of the shelling. The staff were removed from the platform after the previous attack on the platforms of Chernomorneftegaz.
On June 20, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck three drilling platforms of Chernomorneftegaz located at the Odessa field in the Black Sea. At that time there were 109 people on the towers. As a result, three people were injured — they received burns and shrapnel wounds, seven were missing. One of the platforms burned down completely.
Most of the drilling rigs in Crimea are located in the Black Sea west of the peninsula. The attacks were likely carried out from the Odessa region. The weapon used in the attacks was not revealed.

There is not a big choice of weapons in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier this month, the U.S. committed to the donation of two Harpoon launch systems to Ukraine. Other Kiev’s allies have also agreed to provide the Harpoon missiles to the AFU ahich could be used with those launchers. Denmark and the United Kingdom were reportedly among them.
Earlier, on June 17, according to reports of the Ukrainian military the Russian military tugboat Vasily Bekh was attacked in the Black sea and either seriously damaged or sunk.
The footage shared by Ukrainian media confirm that the ship was hit by two missiles. Ukrainian officials report that the ship was hit by two land-based missiles, presumably Harpoon systems.

The tugboat was transporting ammunition, weapons and personnel to reinforce Russian troops on the island of Zmeiny. The attack took place 19 miles east of the island when it was reportedly transferring the Tor-M2MK short-range air defense system.
The media, citing unnamed Russian officials, reported that 10 of the 33 crew members on board were missing, and most of the crew members were injured.
And thus, Russia will not leave Odessa under NATO control. All this is doing is firming the Russian resolve to completely dismember so called Ukraine.

The fact that Ukraine is not a member of NATO is immaterial. NATO is fighting an undeclared war against the Russian Federation.

Very good observation. The idiots in Kiev are totally incompetent at the art of war. They have not got the nous needed to protect their own country. Using Odessa and the region around the city for their attacks on Russia and its infrastructure has now probably sealed its fate. I firmly believe that the grand old city will be taken by the Russians as soon as the Donbass problem has been sorted out.

NATO has got itself very confused, it prospers and spreads due to the simple fact that it can create a pitch that it provides defence that ensures you will not face war. It’s a solid front door selling pitch. The problem is the minute the door get’s kicked in, that pitch is gone because now being in NATO means being in war, having your cities destroyed. Now NATO will argue that well our second follow up pitch is, if the door is kicked through we will guarantee to bring the culprit to account military and fix the door, thus your security is restored and indeed enhanced. The problem is, as every one knows – you can’t bring a nuclear power to what you would deem account, without you yourself ceasing to exist. So in terms of a front door sales proposition. NATO is finished once a nuclear power kicks in the door. That is what can very well happen, Russia kicks in the NATO door and uses Nukes where necessary on non nuclear states. NATO of course can respond in those theatres to try to push Russia back, but those countries won’t exist even if Russia just hit and pulled back. The NATO front door proposition would be shown to be useless in its entirety. All it would have got you is a bombed out derelict country – a failed state. Was NATO membership worth it? Suddenly no one needs a NATO solid front door, which might as well have been made of paper! Article 5 paper!

The messing up of financial system impeding payments of goods and services.. Looming risk of famine in vulnerable countries.. And ultimately the danger of spreading the war where nuke powered nations could get involve risking an apocalyptic showdown.

Russia is highly focused on the Donbas area and is avoiding mission creep very well. However, circumstances are changing that could make Russia think that their objectives and goals in Ukraine need to be recalibrated. I am sure Odessa would figure in those plans, Kiev as well and maybe even all of Ukraine is coming into the mix. These are all understandable changes. The most important thing though is to keep goals sharp and focused. To achieve that and not to blur things or induce mission creep to current forces deployed. It may be sensible to introduce another 150,000 army into theatre with very distinct and autonomous aims e.g. take Kiev, or take control of all western facing borders. That would keep focus but also amplify synergies in order to attain the overall goal of realising the original goals regarding Dombas in a full and final settlement way.
Unless the enemies of the Russian alliance are bringing something new into the theater of war, nothing much is likely to change during the remaining months of this conflict. As a matter of fact I believe that Russia now only needs to keep on doing exactly what they presently are doing to win the war, by Nato and its minions defeating themselves by their own incompetence. The long game of Putin is now working almost to perfection, which is wonderful to see in action, and only some major change of tactics by the Nato scumbags can now possibly, ever so slightly, alter the outcome of the war. The victor will of course always be Russia. The only remaining question now is how devastating the defeat is going to be for the Nato vermin.

Thanks for liking my comment. I haven’t really read anything about the “maneuver defense,” but It is a well known tactic, especially by the police to “kettle-in” protesters if they become too rowdy. And as we have been seeing in the Donbass recently, the technique seems to work just as well on the battlefields. Telling the enemy exactly what you are planning to do, before actually doing it, is in many ways a superb tactic as it tends to paralyze the enemy as it no longer completely trusts its own judgement. At least that’s how I see it.
