A brigader commander of еру 61st Naval Infantry Brigade of the Russian Northern Fleet, Col. Valery Fedyatin, has reportedly died from wounds suffered in Syria.
According to info released in social media by his alleged comrades-in-arms, he suffered wounds when his car was hit by an IED explosion.
On May 9, 2017, Fedyatin participated in a victory day parade in Moscow.

The reports have not been commented by the Russian Defense Ministry yet.
On September 23, Russia’s Lieutenant General Valery Asapov died from an ISIS shelling near the Syrian city of Deir Ezzor. According to reports, Asapov was responsible for operations of the Russian task force in the provinces of Raqqah and Deir Ezzor.
