A new photo has appeared online showing Russian military advisers in the area north of Jabal Sha’er in the province of Homs. The Russian military advisers were spotted alongside troops of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) advancing against ISIS from Jabal Sha’er in the direction of the recently liberated Kawm oasis. The goal of this advance is to link up the government-held areas in the provinces of Homs and Raqqah via the Sukhna-Resafa road.

Meanwhile, the SAA and its allies have liberated a gas facility southwest of the Kawm oasis.

Members of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have been also spotted during clashes with ISIS in the province of Homs.
