Several days ago, the reports from the front claimed the destruction of the Ukrainian bridgehead near the village of Cossak Laheri on the eastern bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. LINK
The reports were recently confirmed by the official claims of the local Russian Acting Governor. Footage from the battlefield also confirmed the Russian victory.
In total, the Ukrainian grouping of about 150 servicemen was destroyed. Some of them fled to the eastern bank of the river which id under control of the Ukrainian military.
Russian fighters shared a lot videos from the area confirming their full control of the village and the Dnieper bank in the area. The main strongpoint of the AFU was the local boat station. Russian control there was also confirmed by the footage.
As a result of the battles, Russian forces gained numerous trophies, mainly supplied by the NATO countries. Foreign mercenaries also took part in hostilities in the area and some of them were killed.
The retreating Ukrainian servicemen had no chance to take back their weapons, ammunition, several boats, drugs and even their wounded comrades who were left dying on the eastern bank of the river.

Attempts by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to achieve a similar result on the eastern bank near the Antonovsky Bridge are not so successful yet. Artillery duels are ongoing, while Russian reconnaissance groups are regularly attacking Ukrainian stronghold in the village of Dachi. The Ukrainian artillery is covering the Ukrainian grouping, shelling the outskirts from the dominant western bank, while Ukrainian boats are transferring necessary supplies across the river, hiding behind the Antonovsky Bridge.
The AFU also continue reconnaissance operations on the islands to the north, near Novaya Kalhovka, and to the south, near Golaya Pristan. The Ukrainian military is profiting from the shallow mouth of the Dnieper, which became possible after they destroyed the Kakhovka dam. However, the hot summer is coming to its end. Is several weeks, rainy weather will complicate the military operations in the area but the AFU are yet to achieve any strategic victories.
