On August 20, the Russian Defence Ministry released a video of the maiden flight of a 6-tonne Altius-U unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), capable of being in the air for more than 24 hours.

In the comment to the video, the military said that the Altius-U is the final form of the UAV created as a result of the development and testing of a number of prototypes. The flight took place for 32 minutes at an altitude of up to 800 metres in fully automatic mode at one of the test aerodromes, the Defense Ministry noted.

The Altius-U is capable of performing an entire spectrum of reconnaissance missions using optical, radio engineering and radar and can stay in the air for more than a day. It uses a satellite control channel, making the radius of its application theoretically unlimited.

…capable of being in the air for more than 24 hours. The flight took place for 32 minutes…

I would not doubt that claim, this tech for loitering is decades old. And while Russia is sure behind western states and china concerning drones, it is only logically that such a new drone will be developed at least for the same standard as the west has for decades. The 24H+ are not at “normal” high speed flight. They are loitering, using only a fraction of power of normal flight. Enterly plausible, and just what anyone who expect from such a drone of its class.

Using a propeller? The noise would be noticeable for loitering. Even Iran has higher more modern droids than this.Remember they had hydrogen fueled drones to evade heat seeking missiles which scared the zionists.

Black Waters

It looks good, but they need to test it first.
