Russian Military: US Spy Aircraft Flew Near Russian Bases In Syria During Drone Attack

AFP 2017/ Greg WOOD

The US Navy’s Boeing P-8 Poseidon military aircraft was on detected in the area between Russia’s Khmeimim air base and Tartus naval facility in Syria when militants attacked the facilities using 13 armed drones during the night on January 6, the Russian Defense Ministry has said in a statement.

Russian forces thwarted the attack intercepting six and shooting down seven UAVs.

“This forces us to take a fresh look at the strange coincidence that, during the attack of UAV terrorists on Russian military facilities in Syria, the Navy reconnaissance aircraft Poseidon was on patrol over the Mediterranean Sea for more than 4 hours at an altitude of 7 thousand meters, between Tartus and Hmeimim,” the statement reads.

Following the attack, the Russian military said that it was the “first time that terrorists massively used unmanned combat aerial vehicles of an aircraft type that were launched from a distance of more than 50 kilometers, and operated using GPS satellite navigation coordinates. Technical examination of the drones showed that such attacks could have been made by terrorists from a distance of about 100 kilometers.”

The ministry added that the advanced technologies used by the militants “could have been obtained only from a country possessing state-of-the-art technologies, including satellite navigation and remote control of … explosive devices [for] release at certain coordinates.”

However, Pentagon spokesman Maj. Adrian Rankin-Galloway commented on the issue saying that that “those devices and technologies can easily be obtained in the open market.”

For once the Pentagon liar may be right. You can easily obtain such parts on the open market. And I doubt that even the Americans are that stupid to supply that tech to Jihadis themselves. And how hard is it to point them to the websites that sell those parts?

Methinks this smells of Russian sour grapes that the Jihadis are now finding ways to finally target them in the bases where until recently they felt quite safe. You set up shop in a war torn country, eventually shit will start hitting the fan at some point. The same of course applies to the Americans in those parts of Syria where they set up shop.

chris chuba

I’m not saying one way or the other but I thought the Russians were referring the the nature of how the drones were controlled / operated, not the toy copters themselves. They referred to it as a swarm attack that was reasonably coherent.

Rüdiger Preiss

If it wasn’t for the covert US, Israeli & SA support there wouldn’t be a single terrorist left in Syria. Long time ago. To now believe that the spy plane has got nothing to do with the drones attack is like believing in Santa Claus. Even my 4 year old understands that Santa is made up.It’s like the US claiming that their attack on Syrian positions near Deir Ezzor in September 2016 was an “accident”. Even if you half my IQ I still wouldn’t believe it.

as

The navigation data to direct such precise coordinated attacks on satellite proofed military air base is impossible to be provided by the open market. The device probably but there’s just no way precise data to guide the open market device like that.

Barba_Papa

Never underestimate Jihadi technological savvy. For the bastards will surprise you.

as

This is new and only encountered here. Ironically if these were possible here there’s no telling where else it can be carried out due to ease of access to such Devices in a number of other countries. So they’re widely accessible but why it only used here where their effectiveness is questionable ? This schematic if US to be believed can easily pulled off to terrorize a number of security tight public spaces. Why then it’s not happened ?

Barba_Papa

Have you tried your hand at electronics? I have, as a musician I love to build guitar effects pedals. Which are a hell of a lot easier to build, but I still experience a lot of failures. I don’t think that most Lone Wolves who want to carry out attacks in the West have the skills to do so. But if you put enough of them together, like in Idlib, then the odds increase that some of them will have those skills.

So as to why it has not happened yet, just plain luck? There’s also necessity. In the West any Lone Wolf who wants to carry out an attack only has to have a knife or a car and he could go on a rampage killing people. The Jihadis in Idlib are severely handicapped in how they can strike back at the Russians. So they have to go at greater creative lengths to do so. They say that perseverance and determination are the keys to success, so if they keep on going long enough at a problem, eventually they will come up with a solution.

as

This is new. If jihadis could do it here they could do it better where there’s no security forces at that level. No public spaces including airports in all capital cities practically safe from these kinds of attack.

Barba_Papa

True. Of course it does require a certain technological savvyness that the typical Lone Wolf probably doesn’t have. But in theory a lone wolf who does know his way around electronics could probably do it.

heydad

I believe we are too stupid to teach jihadist destructive techniques like these. Just look in history such as the mujahedeen in Afghanistan or much more recently the various jihadi “rebels” that we taught and supplied TOWS and other advance technologies. I’ve learned not to be shocked and scandalized by what occurs in these dirty wars.

Dan Popescu

Maybe they wanted to see how russian air defenses work to get an idea on how to overpower them. That’s why the big number of UAV’s.Test their capacity of respinse.

Barba_Papa

But those guys were basically uneducated sheep herders and peasants. Syria was a well educated country, and many of the foreign Jihadis have come from well educated countries as well. Also, look at the Iraq insurgency in the previous decade, where the Jihadis were able to fashion intricate IED’s from readily available electronics. Or look at how well ISIS has embraced the technology of the modern world, like the internet. These guys may want to live in the 7th century, they are not averse to using 21st century technology. They don’t need American handlers for that, a simple Google search will suffice.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Where do you find the parts to connect everything to a foreign governments satellites, you sound more incredibly ridiculous than the idiot at the pentagram where a plane allegedly crashed into it.

Methinks you are very stupid and easily trolled in believing these are all easily found on the internet. Well one can find publications on speculations upon your gesticulations of your false ejaculations showing your interrelations of these correlations of your continued pontification.

Which is just called bunk!!!

FlorianGeyer

When the first terrorist drone swarm bombs Heathrow Airport and the Houses of Parliament ,we can say ‘I told you so ‘. That will be a bitter sweet moment indeed. :)

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Problem is it won’t be done by terrorists unless we all believe or military, intelligence agencies and governments are terrorists, will be really sad and funny at the same time.

FlorianGeyer

Sadly Britain has been using terrorism as a weapon for many many decades. It is the mass of data now available in real time that has shone a light on such actions.

” What Goes Round ,Comes Round. “

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Well the UK ambassador Nicholas Hopton was concerned with British Media biased coverage of the unrest in Iran, as this violated Britain’s non interference policy with Iran.

FlorianGeyer

I would think he will be replaced soon but its good to know that there are honourable diplomats in the UK. Perhaps the disaster in the Middle East and elsewhere will be the precursor for a massive change in policy.

Zionist control would have to be pushed away though. Even in Israel itself where there are today mass demonstrations against the Israeli Government corruption.

The US may also implode as well which would give historically educated and sane Americans a chance to take the reins of government there.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

There were 10s of thousands protesting Bibi the crime minister all over Israel, the people there are just as disillusioned with their govt as the US. They say there are signs, signs, everywhere signs saying don’t do this …..

The amount media trying to control everything we read and hear telling us all that we know is false and lies is stronger today than at any time in the past. Means we are winning in the best sense as more people awaken to the truth.

FlorianGeyer

I agree. I am retired now but I still detest the word ‘compliant’ as today there are a mass of officials all demanding ‘compliance’ and big fees for bugger all really.

Barba_Papa

You can order cheap GPS kits on places like Alibaba already. Them Chinese make everything.

https://www.alibaba.com/showroom/gps-tracking-kit.html

Considering how creative Jihadis were in the construction of IED’s in Iraq using simple DIY electronics I would not be surprised at all if they were able to use such kits and reverse engineer them into these simple looking drones. After all, despite wanting to live in the 7th century, Jihadis still seem very adept in using 21st century technology to reach that goal.

I’m a firm believer in Occam’s Razor, I always go for the most simple plausible explanation. Why would Jihadis need the US to supply parts for DIY drones when those parts are freely available to obtain for anyone?

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

What kind of crap are you trying to say now it seems this kit ties you into a military grade GPS , really you make me laugh.Don’t embarrass yourself even you tiny insignificant nation can muster this level on the drones swarms and offset and create swarm sprints and ad-hoc does come into the integration of the systems.

Try looking up DARPA videos in regards to drone swarms and learn how Drone sprints work and the need for a central brain to initiate and control the requiring advanced GPS since open source has accuracy problems they would have ended up in Jordan and that would have been embarrassing.

zman

Yeah, like giving (at the time) very high tech stingers to Afghanis. Who would be stupid enough to do that? Duh.

Barba_Papa

Yeah, but that was in the 80’s. Different times. Considering that the CIA desperately tried to recover those in the 90’s you’d think that by now they would have learned their lesson.

Gary Sellars

The only sour grapes here is from you and your frustration that Pantsir SAMs shot down half of them, and the others were taken down with EW (either crashed or taken command and landed intact).

ROFL! Loser…

Barba_Papa

Thanks for proving my point. If they were that easy to take down doesn’t that sound EXACTLY like they were made by from DIY parts? Also, take a chill pill, you’ll live longer.

Hrky75

SAA made more pockets in last 6 months then your average Chinese sweat shop makes in a decade ?…

Langaniso Mhlobo

Retaliate directly by shooting down the spy aircraft.

MikeH

“Ooops. I swear it look just like a drone on the radar screen”

northerntruthseeker .

No coincidence at all here.. The US is desperate to support their failing “rebels” by all means necessary, and that obviously now means that they will use drones to attack the Russian and Syrian forces…

Yes, the goddamn Americans are now psychotic and are pushing for a direct war with Russia…

christianblood

You are right. No coincidence here. This really looks eerily familiar!

heydad

Are now Psychotic?? You should have seen the last elections, nearly all politicians, neo-cons and liberals alike, were calling for direct war with Russia. Its ingrained in the majority of people especially now that they believe Russia is directly involved in every evil thing are earth such as messing with our elections.

as

Exceptionalism at work. The Zionist founding fathers would be proud.

Cheryl Brandon

The Founding Fathers of Israhell used USSR and some of their socialist vloac countries, got loads of cheap arms from Czechoslovakia right up until the 50’s. When the first USA Ambassador James Mac Donald arrive din the ME.First mischief” He told Washington that, USSR is medding in Israhell’s first elections” which is why USA should arm Israhell.??Dumbass traitor and 100%pro Zionist. They the JEWS never utterEd 1 line of defense for USSR!!!!

Ronald

BS , Trump , the clown , even by American standards , was elected on the promise to bring our boys home , and to get along with Russia . The Democrats and the intel agencies are responsible for the new “the Russians did it ” .

Gabriel Hollows

They don’t want a direct war with Russia, they want an excuse for more sanctions and possibly turning the international community against them. At most, an open confrontation within Syrian territory. But a real war against Russia would be suicide.

Nexusfast123

The degenerates will blunder into a direct confrontation and instantly regret it.

Rob

Trump indirectly attacks Palestine, Yemen, Syria etc through Erdogan, KSA, Israel, ISIS, Al-Qaeda, FSA, SDF terror groups…. Russia, Syria, Iran and Lebanon must set up their own counter terrorism army forces and intelligence organizations to identify these terror elements and bring them to justice. Why US CIA uses Islamic labeled terrorist groups because Muslims love with their own religion so much.

Cheryl Brandon

Indeed but, they are lsoing the plot!. They cannot arm them anymore;SAA found all their weapons dumps and seized to kill them;SWEET.Music to my ears.

Jaime Galarza

They are cornering the Russians and I think they will have to hit back at one point. The US has a twisted idea that confuses self-control with weakness. Anyway, the west is desperate because they are losing badly every day at all levels: military, economic, legally and morally.

leon mc pilibin

They have an answer for every lie they spew out of their satanic mouths. They will do everything to put a spanner in the works of the resistance,Just look at the cowardly israhelli attack from lebanon.Never mind, their day is coming fast when their whole talmudic regime will collapse, from within ,or without.

Solomon Krupacek

yanks do what they want in syria. next step is the takover of russian bases …

the russian bear in winter sleep, in spring is drunken, in summer lazy, only in autumn does a little.

John Whitehot

I thought that in solomonia autumn happens before summer and after winter

Thegr8rambino

AHHAHAHAHAHA

Xanatos

The drone swarm could have originated from warships in the Mediterranean.

And the spy plane may have served as a data link , feeding these drones’ off-the-shelf GPS systems with military precision GPS guidance.

as

Exactly. Open market gps device tap into it’s respective service provider that wouldn’t work in these kinds of area.

Graeme Rymill

service provider for GPS? GPS isn’t an internet based protocol….

as

Look it up. What’s in the open market look like.

Graeme Rymill

“wouldn’t work in these kinds of area.”

Are you saying there is no GPS coverage in areas of Yemen because there aren’t civilian service providers? That what i think you are saying.

as

That’s basically what’s The US implying.

Graeme Rymill

I don’t think you understand how GPS works. A network of satellites beams down their positional information to any GPS receiver within range. The receiver based on the signals from multiple satellites works out where it is. It is one way communication. The receiver doesn’t beam back to the satellite and it doesn’t rely on the internet at all so no “service providers”. The US provides the satellites for everybody to use. You provide the receiver . Nothing else is required to make it work.

Harry Smith

There are different types of GPS signal. For simplicity let’s say there are 2 signals: civil and military. Military signal has a defence against jamming. I think, that GPS signals are jammed in the Russian bases areas and the drones used the military jamming-prove military signal. That’s what Russian MoD is trying to say.

Graeme Rymill

I am trying to work out what “as” is trying to say… and now you come along ….

There is nothing in the SouthFront article to say that GPS or even GLONASS (the Russian GPS-like system) was jammed. Nor any mention of jamming in the Russian MOD Facebook posting on this drone attack. So where are you getting that from? What would jamming the Russian air base accomplish in any case? Pantsir surely doesn’t use GPS for targeting its cannon or missiles.

Harry Smith

What if Russian electronic warfare unit jams GPS? Here is a very interesting point of view in Russian (you can use google translate): https://ilipin.livejournal.com/162716.html Just want to add: there is a probability that civil GPS was jammed but terrorists attacked the airbase using military equipment, so this time the military signal was jammed too.

Graeme Rymill

OK I see what you are getting at. What you describe is certainly possible! My reservations are these: The Russian Ministry of Defence announced the drone attack. If the previous “mortar” attack was a drone attack too why not say so? The drones are very basic to say the least. To receive military grade GPS you need two military grade receivers and the encryption keys to extract the data. Why give jihadists this top secret stuff which could well be captured (as it was) but allow them to use a drone held together with duct tape? Plausible deniability? Not likely with military grade GPS receivers strapped onto the drones.

Maybe there was jamming but at this stage it is just speculation. Of course my contention that US involvement wasn’t required and in fact didn’t take place is such speculation too. However no one on this site has convincingly shown why low tech drones with GPS/GLONASS couldn’t do what is really a straightforward mission. ISIS drones were dropping mortar bombs on Mosul months ago. Adding GPS navigation is not that big a step beyond that.

Harry Smith

The main principle of the Russian army is: you been punished not because you did something wrong, but because somebody catch you doing something wrong. So, at my very subjective point of view, there was the civil GPS jamming when 1st attack was preformed. But as there should be “closed sky” over the base, commanders reported to the MoD that it was a mortar shelling. After that they analyzed the nature of attack and understood that drones are using military signal, because civil is jammed. So, when the 2nd attack started they jammed military signal too and defense was successful. That’s why they are saying that terrorists used military equipment. Well, as I understand the Kremlin approach we should expect drones used by Taliban in a couple of months later. But I can be wrong about Taliban. Just used it as example.

as

Service provider as in the satlink provider. Those services operating in agreement that nothing classified would be out into public use. Area under that agreement would be obscured or replaced with decoy. I have one of those that works with subscription back then and it doesn’t locate the boneyard out in the desert. Well you know how’s this work if you have read about them. Now onto the topic. We haven’t see how accurate this drone attack really is so it’s doubtful if it can do precision attack if it’s using one of the civilian gps provider. There’s a possibility that it uses captured unit of Syrian/russian though those units would be scarce for them. I have thought about the possibility of them shooting a salvo of such gps guided munitions to test the base jamming characteristics and it’s correlation with their search and track capabilities.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Yet that is what the US wants everyone to believe it was an open source GPS device are they that incredibly stupid and naive. This is the best their intelligence agencies can come up with , they have to be careful they can be trolled easily.

FlorianGeyer

They do have an in theatre Service Provider though. Its called USMilTelComs Corp. They offer Satellite coms as well.

Graeme Rymill

“the spy plane may have served as a data link , feeding these drones’ off-the-shelf GPS systems with military precision GPS guidance.”

I don’t believe you need this level of complexity to attack a fixed site like the air base. You preload the GPS coordinates into the drone based on Google maps or similar and then you send it on its way. Low level technology that doesn’t require the presence of a spy plane to explain it.

FlorianGeyer

I agree and it shows how poorly trained the US pilots are when they attack the ‘wrong’ targets :) They cannot even read a Sat Nav .

as

If only ‘google maps’ could provide such data.

Graeme Rymill

I tried Wikimapia and got this:

35°24’38″N 35°56’44″E

Put it into Google Maps (by doing a Google maps search) and you will see.

as

If only that was enough. Well honestly they can launch unguided ballistic missile using only that level of data. Then again we’ve not seeing how effective this swarm. If it just as poor as google maps gps that is. It is not coincidence that they spot a spy plane.

MikeH

The reports show the Russians know the point of origin. It is difficult to believe these drones were launched from the Med.

Brad Isherwood

Russia and Iran + Syrian military intelligence have the technology and street smarts to run this mickey mouse terror game to ground. Yes….going to have to blow lots of people’s brains out and crush their EM communications. Which Russia can do……Iran and Syria certainly learn on the run.

It’s embarrassing that Porky Poroshenko laughs at Moscow while Nikki Haley and Trump The Moron… afflict Russia and it’s client states.

sam_koll

Surely the Russian Radars could calculate where the swarm began their journey. Why aren’t they saying

MikeH

I believe they did. Also, radar data isn’t going to be 100% in mountainous terrain. Physical principals of radar mean that you can still hide aircraft with terrain regardless how good the radar and software are.

as

Now the US military planner and the official that’s responsible would think that they can do whatever they can so long they can deny it in international diplomatic table. Their barbarity which includes the foreign imported headchopper to the yet to be deployed biological terrorism. They’ll think that the other side wouldn’t call all in in anger. They’re terribly wrong.

NN

It seems ththey try. at its supermegahive drone attack that is propagaandized con youtube vídeos is just that…just fake!

NN

So the cuestión woyl be…what happens if a Zionism base is attacked by this drones that can be obtained un an open market?

FlorianGeyer

Blow up the market place. That’s what the US would do anyway. Its at Langley I understand. :)

wwinsti

Sooo, what exactly do the Americans have to do for the Russians to close Syrian airspace?

Brad Isherwood

Lol…..sorry,…..Putin’s paid lease for Roach motels in Syria. It’s so bad….if Roaches were your only problem. ..it would be a great day.

It would have been better Iran go all in on Syria. ..And Putin play with geriatric Aircraft carrier somewhere else. Iran has the technology muscle to beat ISIS and secure Syria. …. Great arena for Iran to test missiles, counter battery radar…. .attack Helicopters. Put 150,000 in and kick kook Sunni ass. Russia has so much excellent military technology and forces, And showed up in Syria like they only had money to shop at dollar store. Why Iran only put in limited operations in Syria is anyone’s guess.

Maybe Russia and Iran are scared of the F’ing Jews and Neocons. Syria is ruined now. ..left to political intrigues and extortions as Uncle Shlomo (USA). Puts the political screws to Syria and gunboats them with Opium like Lord Palmerston And the 1800s Masonic Lodge.

Empire murdered Russian diplomats, …shot down Su 24 and whipped Russia with Sanctions. Illegally occupy Syria (Russia Client state)….and pisses on it.

Russia/Putin react……????

zman

The quality and logic (NOT) of your post is best explained by your up-clicks…you know the ones you give yourself. That says a whole lot about your credibility and sound logic…again…NOT. You keep repeating the same boring drivel that males no sense to anyone that has an ounce of sense. What you keep blathering would have resulted in an all out war that Iran and Syria would have no chance at. An all-out missile/smart bomb pissing contest would have seen those 150,000 Iranian troops wasted for no good reason. Not to mention that Syria would have ceased to exist physically. Putin and Iran’s strategy is perfectly suited for the type warfare and level of engagement Syria is beset with. Your strategy would only be good for an end times scenario.

Brad Isherwood

Putin/Lavrov gave US,Israhell and Turks deconfliction agreement zones which gave them legal standing to remain. Putin/Lavrov did nothing to stop US/SDF roll up Euphrates and everything east. Israel attacked Syria 100 times in 6 years….Putin/Lavrov say nothing.

Graeme Rymill

They don’t need military grade GPS to locate a target like a flight line of combat aircraft. Many civilian drones have both GPS and the Russian GLONASS for precise navigation.

“On May 11, 2016, the global average URE [User Range Error] was ≤0.715 m (2.3 ft.), 95% of the time.

To be clear, URE is not user accuracy [ it refers to signal accuracy from the satellite]. User accuracy depends on a combination of satellite geometry, URE, and local factors such as signal blockage, atmospheric conditions, and receiver design features/quality.” https://www.gps.gov/systems/gps/performance/accuracy/

Even is user accuracy was 3 times less accurate due to the factors listed above than it would still be accurate within 7 feet or just over 2 metres. Combine that degree of accuracy with the precise GPS coordinates Googles Maps etc. can provide and attacking a known flight line of combat aircraft seems very feasible. An SU-24 is 22 metres long and the wingspan is 10 metres with the swings swept back.

Harry Smith

Ok, but what about P-8? Do you really believe in such coincidences?

zman

No coincidence. This looks to me to be more of an intelligence mission…as in collecting more data on Russian tech and capabilities. Those that created this mission doubtfully had any delusions about this so-called missions possible success. But they knew the Russians would have to react to such a (swarm) tactic…which they did. The Russians have been very good about using their technology only when necessary, which the US probably finds confounding. Ever since the failed cruise missile attack, the US has been in a quandary over what happened and how. They know they can’t launch any serious attack until they can neutralize the Russian defenses. This more looks like a dry run, without the possibility of losing any valuable aircraft, for data collection. Wouldn’t it have been funny if the Russians hit that P-8 with the same weapon they used on the Donald Cook? What could the US say or do? Admit their systems were all vulnerable?

Pave Way IV

Agree. The US didn’t have to do anything to facilitate the attack – they just knew about it and waited for it to happen, then gathered all the signals intelligence they could from the Russian systems when they reacted. The P-8 was unlikely to be the only aircraft snooping in on the Russian response; it’s just the only one anyone knows about. There were probably swarms of US SIGINT assets active if the US had any foreknowledge of the attack. That wouldn’t suprise the Russians in the least – they would do the same thing in similar situations.

dontlietome

Bingo ! This is by far the most logical explanation. Its only a hunch of mine, but in the manner that the RuAF defenses swept the board, makes me wonder if they knew what was in the offing.

Thegr8rambino

hahaha i wish they did, would be sweet justice :)))

Graeme Rymill

I would be more surprised if there wasn’t a P-8 snooping around the eastern Mediterranean doing ELINT tasks. With Russia conducting operations in Syria it would be an intelligence windfall – just as it is for the Russian’s closely as they monitor coalition air operations.

MikeH

Would it surprise anyone here if somehow a swarm attack of similar drones were heading to al-Tanf? What is good for the goose and all of that…

Thegr8rambino

haha yes :))

James Watts

It’s easy to blame the US, but how many European countries our doing our bidding? When EU/nato countries start saying NO to us, peace will start returning.

John Whitehot

“It’s easy to blame the US”

No, really?? How could it ever happen to be this way one asks in disbelief??

dontlietome

Mmmmmmm, don’t hold your breath Bro’, with the EU “owned” by the zionist cabal, what you suggest, is more likely to happen when hell freezes over.

Tony B.

Man, most of the know it alls here missed the whole point of this obviously U.S. military cabal coordinated “attack.” The whole thing was to get as much information as possible on how Russia’s air defenses work because they have discovered that no one has any clue as to how to penetrate them. The Russians themselves are practically shouting this to the world but the tunnel vision keyboard jockeys here just don’t get it. The U.S. doesn’t give a damn about defending their flunkies on the ground. Moreover, Trump himself gave it away when he instantly lied that this technology can be bought “anywhere.” That made it more than obvious that it came from the U.S., likely CIA agents STILL running the head choppers. Of course, the Russian announcement shot that down without mentioning the U.S. but you can bet they made the point.

It’s unbelievable how the “self-chosen” can not help but consider everyone else in the world totally stupid, even when they are so obvious no one can be mistaken about their agendas and their motives.

Rick0Shea

That’s what I immediately concluded – this was a lab experiment to probe Russian defences and collect data of the response for later analysis. Regardless of whether or not the US should fear the Russian military, it’s obvious they have no such fear. This attack has the thinest degree of plausible deniability possible and Russia has called them on it.

Tony B.

RickO, I believe the U.S. military does fear the Russian, note that they pretty much stayed out of the sky around the river, except for the few times they, out of desperation, interfered; but as soon as a Russian fighter was headed their way they high tailed it. Plus, on this drone deal, they made sure the actual hardware their head choppers sent over the base had no stars and stripes anywhere. Probably wiped clean of CIA fingerprints too.

Graeme Rymill

” Trump himself gave it away when he instantly lied that this technology can be bought ‘anywhere’ ”

You have seen the drone photos that the Russian Ministry of Defence have displayed on their Facebook page haven’t you?

https://www.facebook.com/mod.mil.rus/posts/2031218563787556 https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/64f4d68d81eda0c5938d18cd1b04448c229a00458e148f36b6e3b5a9164ad953.jpg

Tony B.

They are not talking about the drone construction, they are referring to the guidance systems.

Graeme Rymill

So the plan is or was to load military grade GPS receivers with their encryption on to that cobbled together hobby shop drone? Yep that makes a lot of sense….not……

Tony B.

Don’t be so rigidly stubborn. Your perceived motives are not necessarily those of anyone in the war in Syria. However, the object of this obviously U.S. coordinated event is just as obvious as its possible to be.

“of an aircraft type that were launched from a distance of more than 50 kilometers, and operated using GPS satellite navigation coordinates. Technical examination of the drones showed that such attacks could have been made by terrorists from a distance of about 100 kilometers.”

Come on, that’s a ridiculous lie. Let’s be serious. The russians are just using their official media to shitpost.

Why? Engine capacity vs fuel tank size gives an approximate range.

What should we expect from someone who uses the acronym of a long obsolete graphics card?

Well, well……………what a surprise I don’t think! The Cabal is pushing for war before their debt ridden financial monster implodes and takes down the US internally with obvious economic and social implications.
