Russian MoD Details Recent Ukrainian Losses In Different Directions (Videos)

Kiev forces made several attempts to advance in the directions of South Donetsk, Krasny Liman and Donetsk without any success, the Russian Ministry of Defense said on July 9.

In a statement, the ministry said that the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled several attacks close to Belogorovka, Opytnoye, Pervomaiskoye and Severnoye. The group also targeted gatherings of manpower and equipment near Konstantinovka, Krasnoye, Avdeevka, and Krasogorovka.

“Enemy losses were up to 180 Ukrainian servicemen and foreign mercenaries, 4 armored fighting vehicles, 3 motor vehicles, 1 Czech-manufactured RM-70 Vampire multiple-launch rocket system, 1 Msta-B howitzer, and 1 U.S.-manufactured M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system,” the statement reads.

Ammunition depots of Ukraine’s 53th and 115th Mechanized Brigades located near Karlovka and Kramatorsk were also targeted, the ministry said.

Meanwhile, in the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces repelled a number of Ukrainian attacks close to Rabotino, Novodanilovka and Malaya Tokmachka.

In addition, manpower and hardware concentration areas of the 65th and 72nd Mechanized Brigades of Kiev forces and the 105th Brigade of Ukrainian Territorial Defense were targeted close to Priyutne, Rabotino, Malaya Tokmachka, Novodanilovka, Makarovka and Nikolskoye.

The activities of a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group were also suppressed by the Russian military close to Rovnopol.

According to the ministry, Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 210 troops and foreign mercenaries, four tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, two armored fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks, a Grad multiple rocket launcher, two D-20 and one Msta-B howitzers as well as an American-manufactured M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system.

An American-manufactured AN/TPQ-36 counter battery radar was also targeted and destroyed by the Russian military near Lukyanovskoye.

In the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled several attacks by Ukraine’s 21st, 63th, and the 66th Mechanized Brigades close to Torskoye , Novovodyanoye and Nevskoye.

In addition, gatherings of manpower and equipment the 63rd, 67th Mechanised, 95th Airborne Assault Brigades and the 15th Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine were targeted near Yampolovka, Torskoye, Terny, Stariy Karavan, Grigorovka and Chervonaya Dibrova.

The activities of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were also disrupted in the Serebryansky forestry area.

Up to 80 Ukrainian troops, one infantry fighting vehicle, two armored fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, two D-30 howitzers and 1 D-20 howitzer were destroyed in this direction, according to the ministry.

The situation in other directions, according to the statement of the Russian MoD:

In Kupyansk direction, as a result of the active operations of the Zapad Group of Forces, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, and artillery, enemy manpower and hardware concentration areas have been neutralized close to Novomlynsk, Kamenka, Olshana, Kislovka, Timkovka and Borshchevaya (Kharkov region).

The enemy losses were up to 20 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 motor vehicles, 1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, as well as 1 ammunition depot of the 127th Territorial Defence Brigade near Staritsa (Kharkov region).

In Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen, 1 tank, 8 motor vehicles, 1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, as well as 1 U.S.-manufactured M777 artillery system.

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized 86 artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 109 areas.

1 ammunition depot of the 228th Logistics Battalion of the 9th Army Corps of the AFU has been destroyed near Zadorozhnoye (Zaporozhye region).

Air defense Units have shot down 10 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles close to Orlinskoye, Zaitsevo, Petrovskoye and Soledar (Donetsk People’s Republic), Zolotaryovka, Privolye, Dachnoye, Raygorodka and Kovalyovka (Lugansk People’s Republic).

In total, 453 airplanes, 241 helicopters, 4,948 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defense missile systems, 10,604 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,137 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,396 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 11,547 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

The Russian MoD also released videos showing a recent failed attack by Kiev forces, in which several main battle tanks and armored vehicles were destroyed, as well as a recent strike by a Ka-52 attack helicopter against a Ukrainian armored vehicle.

Kiev forces will likely escalate their attacks in the upcoming two days in the hope of making any meaningful gains before the NATO summit. The failure of the counteroffensive, which began more than a month ago, is thought to have weakened Ukraine’s chances to enter the alliance.
