On July 21st, Russia’s first COVID-19 vaccine is ready, First Deputy Defense Minister Ruslan Tsalikov said.
It was created by military specialists and scientists of the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology.
“Final assessments on the results of testing by our specialists and scientists of the National Research Center have been already made. At the moment of release all volunteers without exception developed immunity against the coronavirus and felt normal. So, the first domestic vaccine against the novel coronavirus infection is ready,” Tsalikov said.
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade told TASS that on June 30 documents for registering the vaccine were submitted to the Health Ministry.
The vaccine has two variants – a liquid and freeze-dried one. Both types were tested on 43 volunteers and all of them reportedly developed immunity to COVID-19.
The Defense Ministry reported on July 20th that jointly with the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology it had successfully completed clinical trials of the coronavirus vaccine on volunteers on the basis of the Burdenko Main Military Hospital.
Separately, a coronavirus vaccine developed by the University of Oxford appears safe and triggers an immune response.
Trials involving 1,077 people showed the injection led to them making antibodies and T-cells that can fight coronavirus.
The US company Moderna was first out of the blocks and its vaccine can produce neutralising antibodies. They are injecting coronavirus RNA (its genetic code), which then starts making viral proteins in order to trigger an immune response.
The companies BioNtech and Pfizer have also had positive results using their RNA vaccine.
Notably, however, Russia was accused of allegedly sending out its hackers to steal information from the UK, US and Canada on their vaccine data, and now that Moscow reportedly has success in its trials, a new row of accusations should be expected and is quite likely.

I am not personally keen on vaccines due to a nasty experience with a flu vaccine when I was very young.
However, IF i was obliged to have one, I would choose the Russian vaccine.
The media in the UK is trying to denigrate the trials use of the Russian vaccine on courageous senior government officials in April and larger Russian military trials after that.
The Oxford trials were initially intended to be trialled on UK volunteers, BUT a short time after that announcement the trials were said to be on poor ‘black people in South Africa’ and of poor ‘people from Brazil’ who would not cause much,if any trouble if the Oxford vaccine made them ill.
IF Russia had used poor people from Africa and South America the BBC would never stop accusing Russia of racism. EVER

I think Russia is great but the question is what is the state of trials.
The Russian vaccine has a successful trial of 30 volunteers while the Oxford one has 1,077 and is about to start a trial of 30,000 which will make contact with the actual Covid19 virus. The UK vaccine is pretty advanced and is entering its last trial.
of course, this vaccine is a typical russian bullshit, in the last 50years no new, orogional medicament was developed in ussr/russia. there is no money, no knowhow.

Wonderful, a mythical vaccine for a mythical virus. The question is, why is Putin playing along with the west ?
If it’s a good vaccine with no negative side effects that’s fine. Unfortunately in the west, the US in particular, but also in places like Africa and Asia, there’s been enormous abuse of vaccines. Where they’re dangerous and do a lot of harm.

You’re right that 1’s on me I was in the bad mood. Well there is a scientist as I can remember his name he goes on global research quite often. Maybe it’s Gary Knowles? Anyway I have my own theory if the virus being injected are dead the body does not make antibodies, it would simply eliminate it. Otherwise they are injecting you with live viruses.
By the time that a case gets to pay out. There are probably 99 instances of similar injuries that never got to a court settlement. Which lowers the injury rate from 1 in 1 million to 1 in 10,000.
