The Russian Aerospace Force had targeted fuel storage facilities used to support Kiev forces in the Odessa region with suicide drones, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on September 3.

“The Russian Aerospace Force made a group strike by unmanned aerial vehicles this night against fuel storages used for supplies to military vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the port of Reni, Odessa Region. The strike objective was achieved. All the designated targets were engaged,” the ministry said in a briefing.

Ukraine claimed that most of the drones were shot down by its air defenses. However, heavy material losses were reported at the port of Reni.

During its briefing the Russian MoD also reported several advance attempts by Kiev forces in different directions within the special military operation zone.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled four attacks by Ukraine’s 4th National Guard Brigade, 5th Assault Brigade, 77th Airmobile Brigade and 30th Mechanised Brigade close to Kleshcheevka, Artyomovsk, Dubovo-Vasilyevka and Zaliznyanskoye.

The group repelled two more attacks by the 110th mechanized and 79th airborne assault brigades near Veseloye and Staromikhailovka.

Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 250 troops, two armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, one American-made M777 towed howitzer, one Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer as well as two Msta-B and D-20 towed howitzers, according to the ministry.

In the Zaporozhye direction, three attacks by the 47th mechanized and 82nd airborne assault brigades of Kiev forces were repelled close to Rabotino and Verbovoye.

A series of Russian strikes also hit gatherings of manpower and equipment of the 82nd Airborne Assault Brigade to the west of Verbovoye.

Up 130 Ukrainian troops were eliminated in this direction, the ministry said, adding that two armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, three M777 towed howitzers, three American-made M119 towed howitzers and three D-30 towed howitzers were destroyed.

In addition, three field ammunition depots of Kiev forces were targeted and destroyed near Novosyolovka, Chervonaya Krinitsa and Orekhov.

Meanwhile in the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Zapad Group of Forces repelled three counter-attacks by Ukraine’s 32nd and 43rd mechanized brigades near Sergeevka.

The group also targeted several gatherings of manpower and equipment close to Sverdlovka, Sergeevka, Dvurechnaya, Berestovoye and Budarki.

The ministry said that 40 Ukrainian troops, two motor vehicles, one Krab self-propelled howitzer, and one M777 towed howitzer were neutralized during the fighting in this direction.

In the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled two attacks by the 5th Brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard and the 12th Special Forces Brigade close to Grigorovka and Kuzmino.

The group also targeted the 21st, 63rd and 67th mechanized brigades close to Yampolovka, Torskoye, Kuzmino and Chervonaya Dibrova.

Kiev forces lost 50 troops and two pickup trucks in this direction. Moreover, a drone command and control post located close to Chervonaya Dibrova was targeted and destroyed.

In the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces targeted gatherings of manpower and equipment of Ukraine’s 38th and 36th brigades near Shevchenko and Levadnoye.

Up to 125 Ukrainian personnel, one armored fighting vehicle and two motor vehicles were neutralized in this direction, according to the ministry.

In the Kherson direction, Kiev forces lost 60 troops, one tank and five motor vehicles to Russian military fire. In addition, two ammunition depots and a drone control center were destroyed close to Vysshetarasovka and Dneprovskoye.

The Russian MoD also provided the following details during its briefing:

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized manpower and military hardware in 119 areas.

Fighter Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces has shot down one MiG-29 fighter aircraft of Ukrainian Air Force near Bekarovka (Zaporozhye region).

Air defense systems have shot down five HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system projectiles, as well as one U.S.-manufactured JDAM guided aerial bomb.

In addition, 34 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed and suppressed by electronic warfare means close to Berestovoye, Novobakhmutovka, Paraskovievka, Novomikhailovka, Golmovsky (Donetsk People’s Republic), Peremozhnoye, Chubaryovka, Novoye, Ocheretovatoye (Zaporozhye region), Vladimirovka, Zolotaryovka, Belogorovka, Shipilovka, Nikolayevka (Lugansk People’s Republic).

In total, 467 airplanes, 247 helicopters, 6,352 unmanned aerial vehicles, 435 air defense missile systems, 11,634 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,147 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 6,197 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 12,660 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

In addition, the Russian MoD announced in an earlier statement that Ukrainian suicide drone was shot down over the Belgorod region. The failed attack didn’t result in any casualties or material losses.

Meanwhile, Russian news sources shared videos showing recent artillery and missile strikes that targeted the positions and equipment of Kiev forces in several directions.

Despite sustaining heavy losses, Kiev forces made very little gains on week twelve of their counteroffensive. The mounting losses and slow advance will not likely cause any shift in the radical stance of the Kiev regime. The counteroffensive could continue well into next winter.

zatiaľ ide všetko podľa plánu!!! na jeho vylepšenie by bolo dobre ak by sa frontová línia posunula cca 50 km na západ. to by umožnilo ruskej pvo lepšie reakcie na útočné drony. mali by viac času a tým by sa ich úspešnosť istotne zvýšila.
