The Russian Navy has been continuing the work on developing self-guided deep-water search vessels and tethered underwater robots
According to the Russian Navy, Russia is developing ‘drone’ boats that can be based on ships and on the coast.
“Work will be continued in 2016 to develop unmanned boats that can be based both on ships and on the shore,” Navy Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Vice-Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov said on Jan.21.
The Russian Navy is also working on developing self-guided deep-water search vessels. Work is underway as well to develop tethered underwater robots capable of carrying out complex operations at big depths.
