On November 3, Russia’s diesel-electric submarine B-271 Kolpino fired six cruise missiles at ISIS targets in Deir ez-Zor province in Syria.
The missile strike supported an advance of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) on the strategic city of al-Bukamal. This marked the 100th combat use of Kalibr cruise missile by Russian forces, which signifies the fact that the cruise missiles became widely used by the Russian Navy. Russian forces used Kalibr cruise missiles to destroy terrorist command centres, weapon depots and fortified areas.

But considering the potential targets, I hope their statements are spot on.
No, they know how many they lauched and the targets they were supposed to hit acording to the info we are given on news. That’s the hole point of the table. As for if it’s true or not, let’s just hope it is, altough i don’t really support killing, i must aknowledge the lesser of 2 evils.
Of course they know exactly what happens to each and every one of their missiles. They have multiple ways of tracking them and drones above target zones to record the strikes.
Interestingly, Wikipedia says that the Kolpino submarine (Kilo class) carries only 4 Kalibr missiles. Clearly, the Russian were able to add more missiles on a single submarine.

100 Kalibr missiles in 2 years time ain’t that much. The US fired almost half that number on the Syrian airbase alone earlier this year. Granted half of them didn’t even reach their target, and the overall damage done wasn’t that great. It’s good that the Kalibr packs quite the punch and actually hits its targets, because when it comes to levels of Macross missile spam the Russians are clearly inferior to the Americans.
Self contradictory. Russia milsiles (100) were 100% effective with 100% precision. About USA misiles is just worthless to talk about them.
True, but it also goes to show that American ships can fire off a hell of a lot more missiles in a single volley then Russian ships. It used to be the other way round. Either that or the Kalibr is an expensive missile for the Russian state to fire so they use them sparingly. As opposed to the US for whom a Tomahawk is chump change. Either way, quantity has a quality of its own.
Syrians are paying, so they call on the strikes. Russians just provide the service. I don’t think they are limited to small numbers by technology.
The scary thing about the Kalibr is that as it gets within a certain distance of the target, it accelerates from 0,8 to 3 mach and starts to skim the surface at less than 5 m, making it almost impossible for a ship’s antimissile system to shoot down. Those 100 launches were not intended primarily to kill targets but rather to attract buyers for the Klub missile, a somewhat smaller version for export. I always have to laugh when Western journalists say the Russians are running low on funds and will have to produce fewer weapons soon. In reality, the more they make the more they sell and the more their economy grows.
