The Russian Navy has received two Raptor-type (Project 03160) patrol boats, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on October 11.
With these two vessels, Russian forces received a total of 14 Raptor-type boats, which are set to serve with the Balitc, Black Sea and Caspian fleets of the Russian Navy.
Over the last few years, the Russian Navy and Coastal Guards have received a number of crafts, which allow to keep security near Russian shores. This fact allowed the Russian side to respond rapidly to hostile actions by the Ukrainian government in the Sea of Azov. So, the Navy and Coastal Guards re-established security in the region and countered acts of piracy by the Kiev government.
This is hardly news, and I think the main purpose of it was so South Front would have an opportunity to casually refer to Ukraine’s naval policy of ignoring seaward borders as “acts of piracy.”
Works for me!
Little Russia will learn from Mother Russia.
