On the night of March 11, the Russian forces launched a precision strike on another ‘hotel’ in the city of Kharkiv. The civilian facility was used for accommodation of Ukrainian servicemen.
The local Ukrainian authorities confirmed Russian strike, claiming damage to another ‘civilian facility’ and providing no other details.
The target turned to be the Airport Hotel located on the outskirts of the airport in Kharkiv. Footage from the city confirmed that the building was destroyed. According to the local reports, the building was hit by Russian kamikaze drones.

Since the very beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, all civilian flights in Ukraine were terminated, and all Ukrainian airports served exclusively military purposes, including the Kharkiv airport and facilities located on its territory. The Airport hotel has long been used as a temporary accommodation point for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The local residents confirmed that the several ambulances rushed to the area after the strike.
According to preliminary reports, Ukrainian servicemen involved in the construction of defensive fortifications in the Kharkiv region lived in the hotel. As a result of the strike, the Ukrainian military suffered losses.
