The Syrian Arab Air Defense Forces (SyAADF) intercepted and shot down all missiles launched by Israeli warplanes during the July 22 attack on Homs, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, Rear Admiral Alexander Vadim Kulit, announced on July 23.
“Two Israeli F-16 fighter jets launched four guided missiles from Lebanese airspace at positions in the governorate of Homs between 1:11 and 1:19 am on July 22.” Kulit said, adding that “all four missiles were destroyed by Buk-M2E systems of the SyAADF.”
Photos from Lebanon confirmed that at least one Israeli SPICE 1000 guided glide bomb was shot down by Syrian air-defense fire.
Nevertheless, new satellite images from Homs show extensive damage at al-Daba Air Base in the southern countryside of the governorate. At least six hardened aircraft shelters (HAS) were either destroyed or badly damaged. Furthermore, large parts of the base were scorched.
Al-Daba air base, formerly operated by the Syrian Arab Air Force, is currently the main logistic center of Lebanon’s Hezbollah in Syria.
The July 22 Israeli attack was clearly successful, to some extent. This was the second aerial attack to target Syria this week.
The first attack, which took place on July 19, targeted several positions in the northern Syrian governorate of Aleppo. According to the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria, seven Israeli missiles were intercepted by Pantsir-S and Buk-M2E systems of the SyAADF.
I suppose the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
What Photos?.. Israeli Aurora Intel?…I have seen in Google earth the Mysaf research center which have been attacked at least 4 times since 2014 and only one warehouse are damage among a huge complex of buildings and warehouse… also I have seen Mezzeh airport and no damage despite more than 10 airstrikes….
I agree … anything can be photoshopped however it begs the question if Israeli air strikes are ineffective why do they continue throwing good money after bad? It could be the case that they calculate that 4 of every five weapons are intercepted but all they need is that one weapon to get the job done or perhaps the IAF keep lobbing bombs to get data on how Russian air defences work?

Regardless of whether the attack was successful or not it should never have been permitted to be carried out by Russia.
Thats the point,in all these years as far as i know there has been no retaliation for Zionist attacks ,if a Israeli airbase was hit with ballistic missiles that would give them something to think about, also Syria should build a modern airforce,the Russians could help with that.

Earlier Israeli intelligence used ImageSat Intl. for their propaganda but since 2021 they switched to Aurora Intel. I guess ImageSat lost the contract to a better offering from Aurora Intel in a procurement process.
Syria is a great place for Russia to test and adjust its defensive systems against real attacks making them so much more efficient at what they do.
